  • you have no idea how much i wish i had your talent! i am going to a solo festival playing this piece on friday and i couldn't play one measure as perfectly as you can play this whole movement!!!

  • This movement was my "bread & butter" piece for county and state solo & ensemble for many years- I love it. Only just recently started working on the 2nd & 3rd movements...almost 25 years later...just for the fun of it.

  • Wonderful tone! I also love your expressiveness when you play. Excellent performance. Bravo - from a fellow flutist.

  • Thumbs up if you ended up here from the kraftwerk 'tour the france' song to hear from where they taked the main theme.

  • I like your playing, but if you'd put the stand up higher and lift your chin up more it would be even better.

  • I am liking this piece!! You know why? Because of this guy!!

  • you have very good tone=]. and a very rich sound

  • This video is going to help me a lot!! I am learning this piece for my district audition this fall... I audtition in early December.. I did not make Districts this year as a sophomore, but most don't make it their first year.. I have two more tries!! :D lol.. So hopefully Junior year brings more luck and less nervousness!! haha.. All that did was give me great vibrato! but it also made me mess up more..

  • Hey my names Coreisa im 15 and My teacher gave me this song to learn. You no how you get that new song and you get a video on youtube that helps you.. well this was my video.! You played beautifully and ur the best so far.! Keep up the good work :) {(KEEp BEASTiNq At THe FLUTe.!!)}

  • This sounds beautiful! i have to play this soon too. to audition for regions band. and i'm only 15 D= this is going to be a big challenge!

  • I have just listened to another version of this piece and I have to say you are a hundred times better. Well done!

  • The beginning of this piece and the recurring theme looks to have been the inspiration for Kraftwerk's Tour de France. Has anybody noticed this besides me?

  • I love this piece when it is played well. Thanks for sharing it with us!

  • wow!! brilliant :)

i used to play this piece all the time, but haven't played my flute in a good few years. since hearing you play this, it's really inspired me to get back into playing. thank you :)

  • !! working on this for an auditiong soon too! first time on youtube ive heard this in such good sound! (: excellent!

  • pretty soon i think i'll be using this piece for an audition

i just wish it was recorded with better sound quality here. i'd like to hear it more clearly

  • he's just being expressive, he obviously has talent and plays beautifully.

i don't think its "douchy and cocky" at all.

However, you saying that makes YOU seem like more of a douchebag.

  • (: im working on this piece !

    i loveee your tone.

  • amazing!

i played this sonata in a competition...

a special dynamic style and players movements are very important here to make it more interesting!

  • The best recording I've ever heard of this movement. Brilliant sound. You've got amazing talent.

  • You really can make your flute sing, it's quite beautiful! Nice job in the triplet runs too, it's hard to make those sound so natural.

  • I love this piece. Great job.

  • Bravo!

  • Hvor er du glad for dit slips :D haha

  • kæft!

  • Love your tone/style of playing and this piece! I just started working on the Hindemith for flute and just performed the one for oboe! it's fun times :-) what kind of flute and headjoint do you play on?

  • WoW.. young, very cute, and VERY talented.. wanna come visit in America!! hehe

  • well that's nice:) You are indeed very good and well 1ola4 is my sister's name... i don't have an accont on youtube so I use hers ( I don't have time)! Oh yes and a late happy birthday from Canada! Btw, I am really curious to know how it works in Denmark with music studies and how you would judge the level there.Sorry, by the way my name is Kasia and I am also a first year student bachelor at the conservatoire de musique de Gatineau in Quebec Canada.I'm waiting to hear from you again!Thx!

  • Hi, I'm from Canada, and I'm about to learn this piece. I find that your tone has a very stong and powerful resonance! (it even ressembles mine:)) Just curious, are you doing a bacc in music, or some sort of music instituton? And how old are you?

  • Hi 1ola4.. Funny name btw.. ;)

    Just turned 19 2 days ago.. :D

    A bachelor, or?

Well i'm doing a bachelor in The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. I'm a first year student, so I'm not very far yet. Hoping to get an all gold flute soon, so I'll probably have a richer tone if you hear me from now on.
