  • The exact opposite happend to me. I live in Pennsylvania and lost power for three days. I counted at least 6 trees down in my neighborhood. A huge limb landed on my neighbors car and broke the back windows. A house on my block had a peice of siding dangling in the air almost touching the ground. All of the school districts except for one closed monday.

  • Cool time lapse, I'm jealous of your view. I also created a time lapse in hopes to catch some violent cloud formations. However it appears to be mostly white skies with some grey clouds. My area was mostly heavy rains with strong winds. No trees are down and i had power the whole time. I cant say that for a lot of other places. A lot of people are saying this wasn't anything but that's not true, it all depends on where you are. Some areas had it worse then others.

  • @sm3287 I actually found a downed tree 2 blocks from here. But it wasn't the actual hurricane that did it, it was the wind that blew all evening today.

  • i cant speak for everyone in nyc, but it wasn't too bad here in queens, it was just very windy. The news media made it out to be that end of the world was coming >.>

  • @LordOfKnights00 Yeah, actually had people in my area who evacuated even though it wasn't mandatory for my area.

Irene was still bad for a lot of other parts, but Irene is just another reason why I still don't trust a weatherman to tell me what my weather will be like.
