i think i know how to paint the cars like you,

do you spray them the colour of the line, put tape over a bit of it, then spray and remove tape?

I brushed the blue paint on (it was oil-based paint) and then put a silver pinstripe (like the ones on cars) on the side. no tape needed. :)
