Well, if a video is longer than 10 minutes and it's in not in AVI format it's under 2GB. No one uploads Windows Movie Maker movies in AVI format anymore. WMV format all the way.

Well, Google never listened, but I've suggested them to remove the 10 minute limit (together with some other features), along with some friends of mine, they didn't listen at all, and now they removed the suggestions!

so anyone can upload a video past 10 min but it has to be under 2 gb... every movie i downloaded thats 1 1/2 - 2 hours is 700 mb -1 gb and its in a ok quality so couldent they upload becouse from what iv heared a video can be uploaded past the 10 min limit as long as it's under 2 gb but you can go past the 2 gb limit if the video is under 10 min so youtube does give you a option to go past the 10 min limit but under a rule that it must be under 2 gb and p.s. the feed back option is gone.

Apparently you are unaware the amount of server space youtube has to dedicate to host these videos. Giving everyone the option of uploading infinitely sized videos for FREE would ruin youtube (financially).

Disposable50 is 100% correct. Everybody would start uploading videos 15min, 30min, mabye even hours long and unless Youtube starts to charge for hosting, then the bandwith costs would skyrocket and youtube would go out of bussiness. You can't please all the people all the time.

I really hope my tutorial changes YouTube. I have good reasons for why the 10 min limit has got to go:

I hate the 10 min limit! It boils my blood! Its as pointless & annoying as the DRMs. Sometimes I wish I could upload a 20 min mix session I created, but because of the 10 minute, I can't mix certain songs I want. It sucks! And spliting the video into 2 or more parts will just ruin the mix session. The time limit forces me to butcher the mixes :(

Most of the songs I have are between 6-7 min long. I try to fit at least 2 in each session, but I wish I could fit mor, but I can't due to the 10 min limit. I don't mix mainstream songs cause they suck.
