@vsssarma - I cant say much about Ghantasala's rendering - Hemant Kumar did a pretty good job (actually both of them had a fixed way of rendering their songs...)

telugu movies and songs are rampant with copies of hindi and bangla works, especially back then...

i love ghantasala ... a big fan of him (though born 10 years after he died) .... but stil i feel he has put too much classical touch into this song... bengali original is a very light version.... hemant kumar sung that one.. i only wish maasatu konchem light ga  paadunte bagundedi..dont know how much freedom he has..or at least saluri rajeshwarrao aina suggest chesi undalsindi . ...

I respect him for his poetry and the great command on telugu language

but I don't understand why he adored the failed and tyrannic concept called communism

communism gave courage to srisri to bring his heart out and speak his mind boldly. in later life srisri cowed down by failure became apologetic and whinny.

all great poets of 20th century had communism as their inspiration. today's dearth of genuine poetry in Telugu is a result of absence of any such motivating ideology. modern youth bred into aggression-docility syndrome and divided soul by IT prosperity is decadent lot, never capable of producing any genuine poetry...

Sri Sri who was inspired by communism might have felt that the idealogies of communism are his support and of offhand help But in reality communism is a very flawed principle. It curbs the freedom of people. The poets and writers of China and previously USSR were under severe censure and were given punishments like life imprisonment and exile from the country for simple creativity

Sri Sri being such a wonderful poet endorsing communism [which curbs writers creaativity] surprises me. I really get surprised to know that great ppl like Sri Sri, P Sundarayya, Chandra Rajeswara Rao supported Communism. Communism is fully flawed. Marx indeed talked crap like religion less and nation less world with only 2 classes.[bourgies and workers].

Communism might sound attractive in a free country like India. In reality communism is almost as bad as facism or dictatorship

The tune was lifted from a Bengali movie called Sagarika made in 1956, the video also matches scene by scene, the lyrics are almost the same(the song is amar sopne dekha...)
