  • Looks great man, good job on the enclosure. A prime example how the install makes the set up :)

  • what is that box tuned to?

  • yet people can pay a lot of money for a nice system but some where forget to buy two screws for the license plate. I want to here the system not your license plate rattling . Go's to all that have nice systems.

  • can you email me your dimensions to the box? i have the same subs and need a new box

  • Nice ported box yhea !!

  • i only slump yay area slapps

  • your subs hit so hard it defies gravity your mirror shot up instead of down.

  • I have a pair of the 12s...and they busted the boxes...one the boxes opens when the sub hits hard enough...im gonna build something new for them when i put them in my car

  • say man that waz all right.

  • what jeezy song was that at the begining?

  • Im going to post a video of mine and you will see what a professionally done box that took 50hours is like

  • Damn i wan't one of those boxes! Looks & sounds sick man!

  • sounds like a bag of rocks getting dropped down a flight of steps

  • name for second song?

  • @678biker Trae - In The Hood ft Yung Joc

  • @678biker Trae - In the Hood Ft. Yung Joc (Chopped & Screwed Version)

  • I was waiting for Voltron to pop out, Transformer. Thats cool though! cool vid send me the names of the songs you used. I want to try that on mine.

  • @k33m0 Trae - In The Hood ft Yung Joc

  • i have the same subs in a sealed box and its not nearly as loud as your setup. good job man. ive seen two 12's flex less than your two 10's!

  • Lol, no offense but the "flex" part of the video is kind of misleading. You have '98 rice, of course it will flex....

  • damn i got 2 12s but my friend is trading me 2 10 kicker cvr's in a sealed box but all i got to push it is a 300watt jensen amp i fixed up,i pushes the 12's great but idk buout the kickers, lyk i wanted to kno what kind of amp should i get???

  • My god, WOULD YOU PEOPLE JUST CALL THESE CVRS OR CVXS? Sure, these do ok for spl ratings, but a kicker solo x would easily BRUTALIZE any of these 'competition' subwoofers. I had a cousin once kept saying *I had the competition kicker* and ever since I kept thinking how gay that actually sounded. I'm like, you have the cvr or cvx? *I got the competition model!* Turned out to be cvrs, and I showed him my one cvx, brutalization. No kicker is 100% spl built. These are DAILY drivers that go loud

  • Goddamn. I just got two kicker comp 10s, and they kick the shit out of my old subs. Got a truck with almost no space. I love them. So worth what I paid.

  • @dnick454 I was looking at getting a ported box for my system ive only had sealed in the past. So it made your system hit harder with the ported then sealed

  • niiiiice ! box is everything man. i dont know if since you've gottena bigger amp. but with a bigger amp i bet that would kick ASS even MORE

  • Whats the box dimensions man?

  • What are the dimensions of the box?

  • greattt box man... wanna make 1 how you do all the cuts? like what tools did you use?

  • whats the over used bass song ? lol

  • i have the same car and my trunk rattles like that, so how do i fix the ratteling?

  • just goes to show if u have a good box it will sound good cause those are the low line kickers dont get me wrong i had a pair of them and they sounded great but i came across a good deal for subs now there just sitting in my closet :/

  • how do u tune a box to a hz? sounds complicated

  • @afr126 It's a handful of equations and numbers to juggle around til you arrive at the proper tuning. It has to do with the actual net volume or empty space available to the subs, the length of the said port, as well as the cross sectional area of the port (height X width). Most people use a box calculator.

  • @dnick454 Fail. I cant believe you actually validated such a stupid ass comment and didnt tell him to fucking google.

  • i can tell just by the wood glue you used and the wrong screws its a shitty box

  • @caleb20091 ROFL, I used Titebond asshat. It's a real shame that you're as blind as you are ignorant and inbred. By the way, the screws are wood screws as well. But since "you can just tell its shitty", I'll give you the benefit of the doubt... SOOOO then, enlighten me car audio god. What SHOULD I have done? Clearly it's not loud at all and I fucked up... so tell me then?

  • @caleb20091 Man your RETARDED. That box looks damn well built, constructed, and assembled...No 'curves' in the wood, And BTW titebond is some GOOD wood glue, My dad split a 2x4 (Which is what you might have been beat upside the head with) in Half with that Glue...So, Yea. Nice box AND subs man...I'm planning on buying 4 Of them (10" Kicker Comps) and building a Nice big ported box for them and putting them in my Integra Hatchback...Shold be plenty' loud for the Haters.

  • @caleb20091 it hits harder than your shit fuckface!

  • Subs sharing the same chamber doesnt make it sound difference lol wtf??? Its a small system you wont get alot of bass out of it....lmfao o well who cares.

  • nice set up men!!! =)

  • decent.. check my vid. i got a new box. ill make a new vid soon

  • i jus ordered 2 kicker comp 15's. im buildin a ported box for em, 3 cu ft for each out of 3/4 mdf. these things slam,, plus throw it up used to hit hard on my jl WX, which is their cheap sub, but theyre still jls so they were good haha

  • @Shmalex099 After I had good success with my comps in a ported box, a friend of mine with an SUV picked up two 15" comps and I built a ported box for him. If I remember correctly, it's like 3-3.25 cu ft per sub and tuned to 30Hz flat and it straight murders for how little power they require. He's only got 500 watts RMS going to the pair and his headliner jumps around quite a bit lol.

  • not bad for some comp 10s man i had the 12s and they banged then i bought the comp 15s then got a better deal for two cvx 15s for 100 buck check ma video out and let me know wat u think

  • hey man do you have the plans for that box??

  • do you think you could tell me how to build that box. i just recently purchaced 2 kicker comp 10's and have a sealed box with a 800 watt amp and they arent doing near what yours are. i want to build a ported box but dont know how. thanks

  • damn this shit is badass for such a low budget system!!

look at all of the haters tryin to talk shit and dont even know what the fuck they're talking about lol

props on makin those comps slam bro!

  • holy shit...lmao that roof flexed like all hell...nice setup you got there bro...still lookin for a ported box for my whip also, rightnow I just have the sealed box :-D

  • @EpikKustumz just build your own box, its so simple. type in "Re Box Calculator" on Google.

  • i got two comp. bazooka 12s with a 600 watt keenwood amp it slams in the yota cuzzz want some pictures

  • WOW any flex for 2 10s is sick good job man, do whatever you have to do to have bass

  • somebody get a honda thats beatin like me by the way whats the name of that 2nd song u played

  • building your own box and using correct airspace/ tuning makes a HUGE difference. its amazing how your cheap ass kicker subs are boomin. im about to put 3 kicker comp 12"s in a cherokee running them to 1.33 ohms on a hifonics 608d which should give them around 500rms. im tuning to 35hz too and gonna have 5-6 cubic feet of airspace it should pound. did you use re encloser calculater?

  • yo all you u haters ,this kid did a good job with his stuff.. ok its not about what u have but how you set it up and how you use it . i took a pair of subs that had an rms of 150 per sub in a sealed box about 2 cubic feet per sub and put 75 watts to each sub in stereo and it hitt really really hard .in a 1973 ford maverick ,like 130db the subs were in the trunk firing to the rear.........OK

  • hey nice..wuts the second song?

  • @skater1737 in the hood (slowed down) - Trae

  • why do you people with your hondas pride yourself on how HORRIBLE your subs sound and how much it shakes your car. Subs are not meant to shake your car they are meant to add a little bit more to the music but all you gangster wannabes care about is how loud your bass can be. When your bass is so loud your music sounds like shit. Do yourself a favor and go sealed and turn the bass down. People like this are punks and dont understand the value of good sound in their music.

  • anyone see any rockford p1's or jl w0's doin this??????????????? just sayin. not let the comments flow!!!!

  • did the ported make a big difference?

  • nice man! im getting two 10" ramage subs, 700 watt soundstream amp do u think that will bump? Write Me Back

  • @MrNITROKIDZ1 fuck no!!! maybe if you put em in a ported box. but if i were u i would go with a set of jl audios.

  • @casey752 yeah its gonna be in a ported box. ill look into getting some jl auidos

  • whats da second song

  • sounds like its beating bro.good work

  • nice dude. i got the same thing but i have two 2010 kicker 10"s and i think they do grate.

  • thats pretty dam good for 2 10" comps

  • ay fuck all your haters, you did a good job on that box, they can talk all the shit they want, but none of them have vids of there system

  • wat was the roof flex song

  • @TheNatestate trae in the hood (slowed)

  • I was helping my friend to get some bass on his truck.

I gave him a memphis 500 rms amp at 2 ohms. we are thinking about this pair of 10" comps.

How do you think the memphis will make the comps sound?

  • dude.... change phase)))))))))

  • Pretty good for some comps

  • @Rune101rune comps hit hard if u have them powered right. and in the right box

  • that a way to be 760 gm series pioneer way underated amp

  • good bass broo nice box

  • ok guys...whats better...ported or sealed...im looking in getting a system pretty soon...which is better...give me reasons why please:)

  • kool

  • i have the 12''s of these subs, 50 watts makes things in my room get scary, i had them in my car after makin a new box and hooked them right up to the stereo, 25 watts, and it was like 75 watts, but only cuz my car is so small, excellent subs, well worth the money

  • hey whats the tree song name?????????

  • damn bro if thats only 150 watts to a sub i wanna know wat around 750 watts is to each sun

  • Very nice for 2 tens man

  • great vid man sounds great.i have two tens in a sealed box now could u give all measurements of the box i really want to build one thanks.

  • man fuck the haters shit beat hard for comp good job bro... mic this shit soon... it should be mid to high 30's if not low low 40's

  • hello!2:07 music name??thx

  • sounds damn good for just two 10" comps

  • dude you sold me on kicker i have two JL 12s and i love them but my brother has two kicker comp vr 12s and they are crazy loud so my next set of subs will be KICKER from the front to the trunk

  • And0n1y5L is right, plus those arent meant for a ported box, it'll tear those subs up, of course its gunna hit harder though. you may have needed a bigger box but definetly not ported. you could prolly hit a low note slightly but u aint gunna get much flex

  • @MrBassAddict Not meant for a ported box. Yeah, you're probably right anyways. I mean, the fact that kicker writes the spec's for ported enclosures IN the manual. But you're probably right and kicker is wrong. Considering the fact that they engineering the driver and put it through all sorts of testing. Maybe you're thinking of the Solo classic round woofers that kicker makes? Those are meant for sealed on.

Have you even looked at the spec sheet btw? Qts is well in bounds for ported or sealed.

  • @dnick454 well excuse the fuck outta me if i got some subs mixed up, u caught me, ive never looked at the specs for those, ive never cared to look at the specs for a such a weak sub, i was just goin by what ive heard from stero shop retailers. but hey those subs would be great for some mid bass in my car

  • @MrBassAddict shop retailers ant no shit about car audio allt hey do is say stuff so they can sell it to u which is y i dont go to coustom shops anymore :)

  • @dnick454 lol dude u just schooled that guy hard. GOOD FOR U MAN

  • @MrBassAddict You are a dumbass... The comps were designed FOR a ported box. Do some research before you talk shit, nutsack.

I've been building boxes since you were still poopin your pants.

  • @MrBassAddict lol aint much flex shit there 10s cheap but good subs cant get any better for the price

  • thats a cleanbox. love seeing custom built boxes being better than prefab boxes.!! keep it hitting man.

  • THOSE COMPS SOUND GOOD AS HELL TO BE JUST 10"s ,BUT THERE EASY TO BLOW.

  • I'd have to disagree lol. The system is out of the car right now as it is being sold. But... I was feeding them a good 200+ watts each (tested with a DMM). Considering they're rated at 125 lol, that's almost double. They got crazy loud and flex on the car was almost double what it is in this video. My damn visors were flapping like a bird haha.

  • @dnick454 well i find that hard to believe

  • its very goddd tens

  • thats good 4 two 10" check out my video

of my subs in a accord

  • Fuck the haters. sick bang for the buck man,

  • That is pretty fuckin naughty dude, especially considering the low power and they are 10's.

  • I wish I would've taken a video once I got my new amp and before I took the system out. They were loud with LESS than rated power. Should've heard them when I was feeding them almost double RMS power lol.

  • @MahDeerHunter i got 2 10s in a small ported box and its nearly destroying my trunk

  • the reason the box is shitty is because the subs are firing on eachother in the box and all your flexin is small shit its from high bass you couldnt hit a low note to save your life

  • Right, because you can tell what notes it's hitting from looking at a youtube video... Did you not watch the roof flex on Trae chopped and screwed. One of the lowest hitting songs I know of.

What are you running in your car genius?

  • @dnick454 ELE guys no need for all this shit

bass heads should be united lol

  • @dnick454 He's running 2 Fusion 12's with a Boss 1,000 watt walmart amp.

    He beats! ...his meat.

  • @Th30n3And0n1y5L Are you serious? LOL dude I'm pretty sure it's rattling and flexing way more than on higher notes

  • Ive had the exact same kickers for two years. I just recently took them out of the original truck box they came in, and into a new dual ported box. The difference in SQ is amazing!

  • r they the same sub that cost lik 60 buck on the web

  • Yup lol. I bought them new for 55 bucks each at a local dealer. I love them. They're cheap and get relatively loud off of low power which is great. They also sound decent too when in the right enclosure (L5's and L7's are notorious for only getting loud and sounding like a pile of ass SQ wise.)

  • heyyy im about to get 2 12 of these with a 800 something pianeer amp do you think they will bump?

  • @haloween101 ya...sonic electronix (on the web sells the 12" ones...2 for $99...cheaper for a bigger version...

  • I didn't use any internal bracing in this instance. With a relatively small airspace, two tens, and little power, there was no need for it. The only thing flexing is my trunk (and windshield, now that I have a new amp with some more power on tap.)

  • make vid of the new system

  • Next time I'm back home I'll be sure to. I'm away at school on campus and as a freshman I can't bring my car. Hopefully my car is still there when I get back... looking for something new and I told my father if he finds a potential buyer when I'm gone to go for it, so we'll see lol.

  • Do you still have your car?

  • Still have the car... system is out and the car is all back to stock. It's about to be sold.

  • two of these or to Pioneer champ series 10s. in a truck will lil air space???

  • Depends on mounting depth really and how much space you have to work with. You may need to get a slim-mount woofer or something along those lines.

  • know the name of the song?

  • Which song?

  • man fuck all these haters that box looks great and sounds good and who cares what it sounds like on the outside. rattle that fucker to shit!!!!!!!!

  • toilet paper?

  • gay shity box and whats that toilet paper!?!? is that to wipe the shit off you ass after hearing a real system

  • i think that you should post a vid of your system or shut the fuck up

  • The box isn't fit'n'finish show quality, but it's a great box. How's it a shitty system? Last I checked it's getting loud enough to flex the hell out of just about everything in my car and it's doing it with two 10's and little power at that. Seems plenty good to me.

  • what was the very last song tht you played?

  • Bass I Love You .....By..... Basstronics

  • nice job on the box

  • nice box. now just gotta put some good subs in it.

  • whats wrong with kickers? are they not good enough for you?

  • I dont have a problem with kickers. Im not a fan of using any entry level subs, and in this case..the comps are kickers entry level sub. he could spend a little more money and get alot better quality sub.

  • well i have 2 12 comps and i love the way the sound, i guess its just personal preference then.

  • i started with entry level rockford p1s, than claarions, now i have a full bass driver. if you like bass id upgrade. your not getting full potential of what you want. but yes personal preferance.

  • eh. ill be upgrading soon to either lanzar opti drives or some gzp's not sure yet.

  • looks pretty loud considering the equipment used. all in the box.

  • wuts the song 4 the low flexin? let me know thanks, feel free 2 check out my vid

  • Trae - In The Hood (Slowed)

  • which sounds better inverted subs with ported box ? or the sub magnet inside the box?

  • also do you think udu4's box design is good? thanks

  • do you think 3" would be wide a nuff for no port noise?

thinking about making a box like that for my 2 12" kicker comps.

  • and that woundent give you a loss in sound?

  • It just has to be long enough to achieve the proper tuning and have the correct internal volume. You can make the port as big as you want, it's just that it would be ridiculously long. If the port was small, it wouldn't have to be very long to get a low tuning, but it would be restrictive and you'd probably have port noise issues (turbulence). Having it bigger resolves those issues and is generally better, but you have to make the port longer to achieve the same tuning frequency.

  • why do you have such a big port?

  • More port area = lower air velocity going in and out of port and less air turbulence. It's to make sure I don't get any unwanted port noise. But since it's bigger (width and height) you have to make it longer over all to achieve the same tuning.

  • 2 questions. how big is the port? and is it a l-ported box?

  • The box is 14" tall and since it's 3/4" MDF, the port is 12.5" tall and 4" wide leaving 50 square inches of port area. The port length itself is 30" if I remember correctly. The net volume with subs in box is about 3.1 cubic feet. Tuning falls right around 34-35Hz

  • wow dude i cant beleive my eyes.. this past sunday i just built a box almost exactly like urs my dimensions are Height: 17.5 weidth: 39 depth: 15 and for the port its Height: 16 width: 3.25 and the length: 13.5 with L design im running 3 kicker comp 10s at 600 watts rms ill post up vids soon its the first time i see ur vids and its almost the same box with 3/4 mdf wood lol

  • VERY nice for 2 10" Comps. Props man. Check my vid of my 2 12" CVR's. Keep livin loud man

  • very good for kicker comp 10`s

  • lol. for 2 comps its real good but nothing like having good subs like an 18 hahahaha

  • I tried to be nice bro. Im sayin it flexes the mirror like an 18 inch sub. and you call me a dumbass. Who the fuck gets on youtube like that. Your mean dude. not cool. I should flag YOU. WATCH MY VIDS!

  • def does NOT look like an 18 hitting. Youre just a dumbass.

  • SEALED=full range/good lows

    Ported=Damaging potentialy.

    5 stars.

  • Thanks for the 5 star rating, but that is completely incorrect. Only thing being damaged here is my car lol. Sealed has a smoother response, but it will not hit the lows as good as a low tuned box. A sealed box can only go so low before all resonance is lost. You can tune a ported box accordingly. Also, ported boxes when build correctly handle much more power than a sealed enclosure and get louder off the same power to boot when compared to sealed.

  • For sure I know I have a video of a box tuned to 29hz its for two mtx 9500 12's but you know . I'm broke now. so before I went completley broke I bought (3) dual brand 12's put em in a sealed box, and use a Rms giving 2.320w soundstream amp. Can I ask though cuz its my first real setup,

how Does my amp double or triple wattage? cuz my subs are single 4 ohm 500w each What will that let my amp do?

    thanks man.

  • Wire it in parallel and you'll get a final impedance of 1.33ohms.

  • thanks bro

  • Is this a reply to someone else's question or is this directed at me? My subs are single voice coil @ 4 ohms each. Wiring them in parallel would give me an impedance of 2 ohms which is unstable in mono the amp in this vid. I do now have a new amp though that's 1 ohm stable so they're running at 2 ohms parallel right now getting roughly double the power they were getting in this video... Think of this vid +30% more flex :)

  • Someone else that has 3 subs

  • C'mon When i say damaging in reference to SPL from bass output, that can only mean damaging bass output. LOL.

  • i don't recommend using that expanding foam inside the trunk lid. Reason being is because if it doesn't expand you could have even worse problems then rattling.

I have same car (check my vids!) with 1 12, fully dampened and barely have a problem with flex and outside vibration. There's noise still coming from the tail lights and panel behind the license plate...and I will never get rid of it unless I apply pressure with my hands. Just put 2-3 layers of dampening mat & you will be ok.

  • nice excursion for some cheap kickers

i was runnin the same amp to a old pair of mtx's and they sucked

  • nice deck i goht daht same one

  • Yeah, this deck has treated me well. The only complaint I have would be the faceplate sometimes sticks in the winter time and doesn't want to flip open. But since this headunit has 4V pre-outs and I use my iPod anyways, I really can't complain much. Great budget unit.

  • what is the song name 2.12

  • Trae - In The Hood (ft Young Joc) [Chopped and Screwed]

  • Good video bro. Keep up the good work.
