I think "the last laugh" just means having won, defeating the good guys and making himself permanently huge. "Seeing the good guys get it" clearly refers to seeing them get tickled unable to escape. Sir Leonard warns him, I think, because the King's plans don't usually seem to work. But yes, it is a demented film. :)
Now that whoever posted this has helped me redicover this film, I am now to going to buy a copy and take drugs and watch it again. DAmn this movie is trippy! Thank you so much for putting this up!
It's great to see the whole scene again. I became fascinated with it when I was a kid. Somehow, the idea of all that tickling just seemed really cool. :)
You have to be pretty simple minded, ignorant and never had a childhood to ridicule the nostaglgic cartoons of our time ... don't like, don't watch buddy ...

I have the closing credits on that, but I think it was 1976 it was made, and yes, in the fall of 1980 when it was shown in 2 parts on CBS.
