  • i wanna b18c1 for my 90 db1 so badd...0-60 in around 7 sec is great for fwd vehicles. 11 secs with a b16a1 isnt.

  • gsr vtec actually kicks in at 5, more specifically at 5100. i have a 2000 gsr that came with a loud pipe so you can hear it better. if you wanna find it in your car, just accelerate to redline, but very slowy in 1st or something and listen for the pitch change

  • @Metcalfius187 It kicks in at 4400 . Unless the newer ones were different. But I'm pretty sure they were all 4400 .

  • every vid i watch of dc2 gsr's ripping it make me want mine even MORE!!

  • so like 6 seconds 0-60? not bad for stock

  • i own a 97 gsr. throw on a short ram/cold air intake and youll hear the vtec engagement that much more clearly.. sounds beautiful... mind you, the mod isnt for performance, but for those that love that vtec sound... should get it!

  • Good driving, Gotta appreciate a car that can do zero to 60 in under 7 seconds and still get 30 MPG

  • nice, for stock, 7 and a half secs.

  • Why do kids like mr08 even bother watching the damn videos if all they're going to do is try to argue with people who are more intelligent than them. All these kids who keep squealing about how imports are crap and american cars are so FREAKIN AMAZIN...get off the moonshine.

  • where was the vtec....

  • I love my 2000 GsR too much to abuse it like that. I don't care what you idiots say. Too much high reving is not good for the car. I don't even Rev my s2000 that high. Time to go to bed.

  • I love chirps regardless of what people say about them, slowing you down, a sign of power :)

  • What was that..did you run over a dog...

  • Im tradin for a gsr today(:

  • @SuperQuickStick My apologies, the LS produces two more. It still doesn't disprove my point. We weren't talking about LS VTEC anyway, we were talking about straight LS, which won't beat a GSR 0-60 given the same launch/shifting. The GSR still provides ~20% more total forward thrust, not counting the shorter gearing.

Of course an LS VTEC would be better, slightly.

It is nice that you could argue the point without any insults though. Oh wait..

  • Mrmustangwhateverguy it shows you have no actual passion for cars because all in all we do it for fun your car was decent for about an all good three years and now the new mustang dominates it. Guess what almost every feature on the new motor has something in relation to the b series in this car which was designed about 14-15 years before the coyote was produced. Let me add a few bolt ons to my import motor and I'll be next to you or past you. your 4.6 isn't really a total bad ass motor.

  • I liked the bark at the beginning lol...always music to my ears

  • @SuperQuickStick I'd like to see the proof of that, stock vs stock. The GSR has 1 ft-lb more torque, although 1000 rpm further out, but the LS also has longer gearing because it has 1000 less rpm to use. Regardless, their torque curves are practically the same.

  • why are you talking about your mustang and watching videos of a stock 1996 acura? go watch videos of mustangs and corvettes and camaros if the usa really gets you off that bad mr.mustangtool

  • All i have to say is why post a car on youtube that does 0-60 in 6.5 to 7 seconds? Why do people enjoy racing these import cars? Get a mustang, corvette, camaro, challenger or something with some balls. My 08 Mustang GT goes zero to 60 in 4.2 seconds. Only a few bolt on mods to get it done not to mention it sounds like it's going to eat those little ricer cars with mufflers that sound like a pissed off bumblebee. You guys crack me up...

  • @Mr08MustangGT In case you didn't realise, this is a car built in 1996, NOT 2008 like your mustang. Engines have progressed a long way in that time, thus there being a difference in the times. Also note that your 0-60 and 0-70 time would be off by around a second (probably need to shift for another gear), therefore only being around 2 seconds difference. You crack me up...

  • @Mr08MustangGT They post them so that people like you who don't get why people watch these videos, will watch these videos.

You have a Mustang GT. Good for you. We really couldn't care less what you drive or how fast it is.

  • @Mr08MustangGT

who gives a fuck, mind your own business . No one wants to know about your overrated mustang, gtfo .

  • @Mr08MustangGT alot of us cant afford 08 mustang gts or the more popular 5.0L Stangs. What usually do is get a honda or in my case a 92 240sx for like 2000$ and get it on the mustangs level wit less weight and more tlc than you wit your 24,000$ car. js we aint got money like that.

  • Sickk bro i drive a 96 gs-r too aha its rackin up cars lol took out a ls with a b20 last week

  • @SuperQuickStick You're not hitting 60 in 6 seconds in a stock LS.

  • @lovesthebass

I'm hitting 6ish seconds in a non turbo 3000gt so yeah.

  • DAMN didnt know it use premium lol must suck for the person who owns the intergra, unless he had cash to fill it up evertime ;)

  • Comment removed

  • B18 is so good

  • I freakin love my 96!

  • 8 second 0-60, a saturn is almost that fast

  • @normanaw stock gsr i believe is 7.2 seconds 0-60. which is what he did

  • why is it that people fight over youtube? nothing is proven, both people just sound like retards. nice car, i am hopefuly getting a 4door gsr all stock except for an aftermarket 6 disc changer lol. very fun car to drive. i have been in a corvette and the gsr and personally, i had more fun in the gsr, mostly because when you look down at the speedometer of the gsr you know a cop would not impound your car.

  • @arcticmonkey487 That's becuase when you put the peddle down in the Vette you're gunna break the speedlimit, not make a bunch of noise and not go anywhere.

  • Omg you killed a dog on the second shift!

  • Thats pretty quick. Now im worried a 944S will actually loose to one of these at a low speed roll or dig. gotta try to get them at 40 ;)

  • @MangoSmoothie16 you will. i have a 944s2

  • @sirpillow69 oh well. its 10 years newer.

  • fucken fast!

  • @Camaromandave98 oh and for the record "nail in the coffin"....its you're immature....and you're just another sad case....i dont "own" anything related to a sad case....your comments are futile. ...again...stay in school idiot

  • @Camaromandave98 incompetent?...i am fully aware your own incompetent ability to read and respond with either relevant or focused material.....there is a reason you drive a camaro...because you are fucking trash...stay in school you idiot

  • @Camaromandave98 now re-read my comment you fucking moron....and again, tell me how "being a hater" is in ANYWAY..relevant to jacking a dog off in a car?....now, if said i would ONLY beat a dog off in a honda....and never in a GM ..that would MAYBE somehow bring up biased or hate issues...but until something relevant like that has been said....you stand as a fucking irrelevant inbred posting on comments that dont even EXIST...redneck supremacy much??

  • @Camaromandave98 you're a fucking moron.....how is talking about a dog on a car video relevant in ANY way to me being a hater?....my god you are fucking BRILLIANT!!...but this coming from "camaro" man.....of course you're retarded....so in theory, your comment doesn't make a DAMN bit of sense...and is actually more retarded of a comment then mine....fucking BRILLIANT!!

  • damn pretty fast... but whats the high pitch squeeking sound when u shift??

  • Premium unleaded fuel only?

Cant these run on standard RON95?

  • im thinking of getting this but do you need premium fuel

  • this is going in my civic i cant wait to see if i notice a difference

  • VTEC @ 4400RPM

    Dual Intake Runners @ 5800RPM

    Right?

  • @unknownally generally theyre called secondaries but yeah youre spot on

  • @laxdude761 I see. I love the sound of the secondaries.

  • rev limiter is 8500.. wel it is on my 94 idn bout ur 96 u coulda got a faster time if u kept going..

  • @diznitter905 gsr makes peak power at 7.8k. anything past that is just diminishing returns

  • can you shift a car in the red or when the tach get to the red your engine blows?? and when driving at high rpms whats likely to fail first? retainers and springs or like pistons??

  • hahah 2nd gear chirp ur teggy is pretty fast for stock is that the original motor?

  • @donezone

    Yes it's all original. b18c1

I haven't upgraded anything on it.

  • Wow that's fast compared to my LS with GSR tranny.

It gets up to 8k real fast.

  • @coandcaiv

I think it's pretty gay for you to think or say things like that. Keep your nasty thoughts to yourself. You should seek help

  • @dobledinc lmao....take a joke newb....either that or just go drive something that sucks like a pontiac

  • @dobledinc i think he was just fuckin about lol

  • @dobledinc i think that's pretty offensive of you to discriminate against a whole sexual minority like that. You should learn some tolerance and say stupid instead.

  • @dobledinc I am not being sarcastic right now. Your a genious. Could not have said that better myself!

  • @dobledinc he's mentally ill, block him. he is a pussy for blocking me because i proved him wrong

  • @coandcaiv LMAOMAOAMOAO!! omfg that's exactly what it was!

  • @coandcaiv You're sick.

  • @coandcaiv UR GAY!!!

  • @coandcaiv you=troll

  • @coandcaiv ha ha that was funny man

  • @coandcaiv This is just pathetic

  • nice its just a stock b18 right

cuz im think about puting a b18 in my integra

  • @PIMPINBOI23

    Yes it is

  • hmm after watching it again i did notice the vtec sorry man be good .....

  • @vasaras31987 for stock gsr you can't hear the v-tec until you open up the intake box and just leave the filter.

  • @TheHumanRicer man i had a 1997 civic with the d15z6 motor and i could hear the v tec crossover clearly but for u saying that u should know better thanks...now a have a k20a3 lol

  • @vasaras31987 yeah just for some reason you usually wouldn't hear v-tec in a gsr unless you mod the intake.

  • @TheHumanRicer

You're right a friend of mine has a 99 gsr and his vtec is not that loud as the b16 one.

  • @vasaras31987

I think most k series engines are meant to crack vtec pretty loud. i do like the older dohc vtec motors better. But the k20 is bad ass

  • @vasaras31987

If you listen carefully you can hear it crack around 4400-4500. And the speedometer starts going a lot faster.

  • @dobledinc it is strange thought that you cant hear the secondaries opening. it could just be the camera. who knows. i drive a i/h/e 94 gsr and i LOVE that car. original vtec baby

  • @dobledinc Thats wierd yours does pop sooner.

    Gsr's usually pop at 5000-6000

  • Man i am not a hater i love hondas but i didn't notice the vtec kicking in..i have a 2008 civic si and i am in love with it <3

  • @vasaras31987 Keep in mind that it's all stock. 08 civics and most newer k20 motors are already upgraded and they sound nice from factory. So it cracks a lot louder than mine.

  • thats not a gsr .. lol

  • K20 VTEC much more audible crossover

  • i'm not hating or anything, but my gsr sounds similar to this, and i don't really notice the vtec kicking in.. what RPM does yours kick in at?

  • wow. don't get me wrong i'm not pooping down your chimney but what a difference between stock cars and modified cars of the same engine.

  • this looks a little faster than mine!! could someone see mine and rate mine too! i wanna know if theres anything wrong with mine!

  • sounds good...i miss the integra :(

  • lol sounds like you hit a dog or something when you changed gears...

  • jajaja XD

  • yeah i heard something like that too i think it was my girlfriend she didn't know i was gonna pull like that.

  • Why does everybody have to be so brutal over the internet??

  • It's called haters. People hate on a daily basis. Even people that don't even have a car or people that can't drive stick to save their lives. LOL

  • i agree. haters suck bro. i was wondering how much you paid for your acura.? im planning on getting mine this summer. i love these cars so much.

  • you cant even hear the vtec cross over

  • it's not that loud when it cracks but you can feel it. You gotta remember it's fully stock. I haven't put anything in that car.

  • 7seconds 0-60 not bad.

  • Thanks. I m pretty sure I can go just a lil bit faster.

  • thats fast considering its stock.

  • Thanks Road and Track tested it back in 97 fully stock and they did like 6.2 or something like that. Can't remember

  • what are you waiting for? put a CAI and a exhaust/including header. I forget what motor the GSR is ? what series motor and stock hp levels?B16? My friend has a ITR B18 his is a slight faster then this all stock but the this is totally worth the GSR is worth the price.

  • @dobledinc 6.4 in that area. 14.7-14.9 IIRC. Quite good on the 1/4 mile. I see RSX's hit 15-15.1s all the time. I presume MW/R&T are better drivers :p

  • Damn I want an Integra GSR so bad. They're dirt cheap, but the insurance sure as hell isn't. Does anyone know if a security system lowers the insurance by a LOT? Like $200 less every 6 months or something? They're one of the most stolen cars, so of course insurance is going to be high, but if you put a security system I would think it's no longer a worry about being stolen...?

  • i have a 95 GSR and i pay around $600 for 6 months, full cover.. and i have an alarm its a 2 way pager ..

  • nice! that's dirt cheap for GSR insurance. just about full coverage?

  • The insurance it's not really the problem. It's more about your driving record. It's not like having a vette or a viper.

  • 4400 vtec engagement... 5800? since when did elementary school children driven? 4.4k you dipshit unless you running vtec controller to adjust to turbocharge/nos/ALL motor setup.

so please fuck off if you dont know your shit thoroughly and mislead people. * so if you dont know 100% dont go blabbin that shit out and try and sound smart.. *

damn youtuber's these days. wanna be's tuners

  • wow....you so just made yourself look like the biggest dumbass.....ok you little shit talker, this is coming from a certified honda technician. a factory gsr ecu vtec crossover is 4400 RPM, secondary intake runners open at 5750. so in other words a gsr has a dual stage intake manifold.....and hey you little elementary school child.....this is 2010 vtec controllers are rarely used nowadays unless your broke you dipshit

  • You're totally right about the vtec crossover and the dual intake manifold. Butterfly opens at 5800 rmps. 1996 Gsr also comes with knock sensor, oil jet piston cooling. It's a cool car.

  • @uLameDuck101 The butterfly valves "open" in the intake at this RPM hence the change in pitch.

  • GSR has a two stage intake manifold. VTEC engages at 4400rpm. Secondaries at 5800rpm. That's where people think VTEC engages but it isn't. Listening for VTEC isn't exactly ideal on stock motor.

  • at 0:06 to 0:07 it sounded like you ran the shit out of a poor chihuahua LoL good vid

  • Comment removed

  • evelution elevin it doesnt kick at 4400rpm any thing that kicks under 5500rpm is not that strong any newer vtecs kick at 6000rpm but the rsx type s and the civic si and any other newer vtecs only kick when you put a intake on it if you dont believe me then o well oh and umm turbo vtecs you ll never hear it because the frickin turbo is so loud

  • you're an idiot

  • fucking noobs..always listening for vtec....ahahah dont know jack about cars if your still trying to listen for vtec

  • Damn. You can't really hear the vtec. Plus you don't see it in the cluster. You might be able to see it pick up a lilo faster that's it. If he's got a super loud ass muffler or a intake then you might be able to hear it. But then it's all gewd.

  • Thats because its bone stock, no exhaust, no intake, no nothin.

  • you can't really here the switch over in 1st gear if he was under 5800 in 2nd or above you can hear it a lot better at least i can in mine and it's stock

  • ok i would change a word 'break' to 'switch' i reckon u can notice when its kickin in i noticed it many times and i knew exactly when its engaging hmm i still think there is actually a little break dunno anyway thats how i feel it;p

  • so what ure sayin to me that vtec is not noticable right ? ok in that case maybe i had nitro in my car and i just didnt spot it... god if u dont have posiibilities to check it live just read some forums or watch more videos on youtube and then make some sensible statement gl

  • Christ, vtec doesnt "kick in" unless you have a control on it.

That like saying it kicks in on my tundra at 3300 when it doesnt even have vvti

it has a flat spot and then really rolls

  • fuck you you stupid fuck go play cod... on my 95 b18c1 it switches over at 5800 you can put a vtec controller on it suck as hondata and lower the engagement rpm but you're to stupid to know that because you own a tundra and are talking about honda's

  • i could see v-tec kick in?

  • Wow, are you kidding me?

  • couldn't sorry typo

  • lol

  • why isnt v-tec kicking in?

its a c1 you should hear or see it?

  • because vtec doesnt really kick in its pretty much engaged most of the time

  • but you should at least here the crossover on a c1 stock you can hear it

  • i would give you that

  • On a stock GSR you won't notice any crossovers. Very linear. Take off the lower intake tube and you can notice the secondaries at 5800rpm. I have 2 GSR's currently, both 100% stock except one is missing the lower intake tube and that one is more noticeable. My other stock one you can't even tell, see, or hear the VTEC engagement or change in sound when the secondaries open up.

  • i was mistaken and i'll admit it but full vtec is at 5800 then right... but like i said... i can here mine very well if i'm cruising in 2nd or up when i hit the secondaries... mine has nothing done to it

  • Your in VTEC no matter what at 4400rpm so I don't know of such thing as FULL VTEC, but I know what you mean when you hit 5800rpm, it's just the secondaries open up and especially if you have some mods done then it's VERY noticeable. I agree at 5800 rpm there's bit more of a rush versus at 4400rpm, but shouldn't mistaken that you just hit VTEC.

  • true true thanks for the info man

  • can you post a video of your stock gsr at Park and just revving it? i just got a stock gsr swap to my car but the reviving seem very slow not responsive. i dont know if the engine is bad, bad valve or something. my first time on gsr motor. my other 1.6 vtec motor revving quickly. from 1000 to 6000 rpm in a quick step.

  • while my gsr motor i step on it it take longer for the engine to hit high rpm. around 3 sec till it reach 6000 rpm.

cant find any vid of people gasing it on park mode.

  • Well to me it sounds like your flywheel is like 100 pounds lol. Either that or you got major sludge in your engine. SInce its a swap it could probably different things maybe make sure you have the correct ECU and stuff like that. WHen I get a chance I'll see if I can post that revving vid for you.

  • WTF player, VTEC isn't engaged all the time, bone stock VTEC engagement in a GSR is @ 4400rpm. RE-RE

  • technically it is

  • it;s actually 5800 i own one... 4400 huh you're an idiot

  • it's engaged at idle and 3000rpm when you're cruising at 55mph in 5th gear huh just stfu

  • Every time he shifted after into second gear, was above 5500 rpms. so when he is shifting from 2-3, 3-4, he was already in vtec.

  • even first gear tho

  • well my one was '94 Si and i was able to push up to around 8300 maybe 8400 someone mentioned that there is a limiter till 8200 but i dont personaly think so, need to google it l8er gl

  • Also, the stock tachometer in the dash is not as accurate as you think.

  • You can actually notice it on this video when around 4.5k there is a very short brake in acceleration thats the moment when vtec is kickin in but have to say on my previous car which was japaneese equivalent of gsr it was much more noticable there can be many reasons for that from fuel quality up to air temp gl

  • its probably just a low quality camera or somethin, cause vtec seems really nice in my car with the gsr. anyways is there a difference between the newer years and the older years of the b18c1? (redline wise) i took it up to 8k the other day and it should be able to get a little more?

  • It is impossible to notice VTEC engaging just by looking at the tachometer. How on earth would VTEC be beneficial to performance if there was a "break" in acceleration under WOT?

  • 4.5k huh it engages at 5800 eat shit and die

  • How do you know when your going 25 or so haha..yes im a new learning driver...so you can call me a dumbass

  • hmm apparently acuras gsr do170 bhp i used to drive jdm 1.8 v tec integra with 180 bhp and yet couldnt go 0-60 under 7 sec how come this one can go over half a sec quicker? O yeah all ppl saying it doesnt have v tec stfu pls ;p

  • Most people commenting here have never driven a honda. They have no clue what they talking about...they are a bunch of 16 year old kids that just got their license and drive mom's car and think they're cool. This is a full blown stock dohc vtec motor. It doesn't crack as loud as the b16 that's why you can hardly notice the crossover but you def feel it.

  • I agree. Having owned a '00 Civic Si, I'm amazed at all of the kids that get on here after playing Need For Speed and write so much wrong information, but pass it off like it's stone cold fact.

  • thank you i'm trying to pwn everyone here too i have a 95 sedan gsr when you're in 1st you don't hear it as much but like in second or above 3rd etc and you're cruising and then you floor it you hear it a little better right? at least i do... why the fuck would these toddlers think it switchs at 4500 when the shift point only goes as low as 5500 maybe they're so fucking stupid

  • 5800 is where the secondaries open up (just because it seems like it pops around here doesn't mean VTEC just occur). You have a GSR you should know it's a two stage intake manifold. 4400rpm is where VTEC engages. And about the 2nd and 3rd you hear it better, i'm not sure about that. If you don't believe VTEC in a "GSR" engages at 4400rpm, google it. Or go to the Integra forums.

  • stock b18c1's redline is 8k right? i got a eg with a gsr and i have no idea what my redline is

  • you got it exactly right

  • It should be 8,200 just like mine.

  • I clocked your 0-60 in 6.534 seconds.

  • nice dude i got a 96 gsr but wit an ls engine....im gonna be buyin my gsr engine soon

  • Nice, sounds like you got yourself a little project goin.

  • yup im probly gonna go wit all motor first

  • Since this car has vtec, maybe it would be wise to launch at a higher rpm, i heard these gsrs run 0-60 in 6 seconds, compared to the 7.5 you got.

  • 6 seconds, no way. More like 7.0.

  • 6 and a half atleast.

  • 6.5 seconds...

    i use to have this

    its a 1.8 four banger...

theres no v-tec in this thing

  • GSR's have vtec.
