@KRKahn87 I haven't been able to get my hands on Beta access, but I have played extensively on the PTR. With 4.01 coming out today, I plan on making a video covering the key changes to Holy Paladin asap. I really like the changes I've seen on the PTR so far. I used Grid and hover over macros.

Seriously healing was a face roll (Both Pally and Shammy).

My friend tried to get me to switch to healbot, but grid is quick and easy, ready to go :P

Oh and there is this addon called 'snowflake buttons' or something and it makes it so you cast your spell on buttonDOWN not on release, helped alot :)

@PoliteGaming For me personally, Kings would be a waste. I get more mana efficiency out of Seal of Wisdom, especially given the way I am glyphed. When 4.01 comes out though, it will be kings for sure.

@chihuahua50 I could try. The problem is that I don't heal PVP (or do much pvp at all) on my Paladin. There is a great website for PVP videos, I mean a really really excellent one, called skill-capped It's a pay site, but in my experience is well worth it. I learned enough from that site to get my Rogue's 2's team up past 1800.

thats called x-perl... it looks really cool but uses a fairly large amount of memory for adding little to no benefit- so basically use it if youve got a good computer

@xWangoTango it is called X-Perl Unit Frames. It is very customizable. I'm not sure why Koolaiddewz would say it adds "little to no benefit". It can show the targets of your group members, which is great for tanking/healing. It's able to show you % health of enemies. You can drag the unit ANYWHERE so if you don't want them up on that corner they don't have to be. It can be used to make them disappear altogether. You can reduce the resource use by turning off the 3D models in the units.

HOW DO YOU TRACK YOUR BEACONED TARGET? In 25 mans, I usually set the main tank as my 'Focus' target, so it is easy to track when his Sacred Shield runs out. I like to put a Beacon of Light on another target, usually the off tank, but have to guess when it runs out. I end up re-Beaconing the off tank, when I add my 3rd Sacred Shield to the main tank, but I don't like guessing. Thanks.

@jerrykellar I actually don't put my beacon on players that aren't my focus. I wanna say there are addons that will track it, and you can also macro the spell to start a timer for the duration of the spell, possibly needing deadly boss mods installed to do this.

Ok, so I have Grid now, to help my Holy paladin heal random Lich King instances to 80.

The only problem, is that the default group plates are still there.

I can't get rid of them in 5 mans, only in raids.

You were in a 5 man, and yours were gone, can you tell me how you achieved that?

Ok, so I downloaded X-Perl and got the party thing as small as possible, and hid it in the corner of my screen, but I can't completely get rid of it.

@HellBornBerserker Right, go into your addons, and find your sections of Xperl, and disable Xperl party, and you won't have the party frames.

@HellBornBerserker You might need to update Grid, I'd start there. I know sometimes when there are more than 5 members in a party, it will stay larger than 5 squares. You might also need to go into the options and set something there. I forget off the top of my head what that option is called, but it has something to do with scaling, or set to party size, sorry that I cannot remember.

Skada is bullshit because it has so many functions and tabels for dmg and healing that the information it collects is totally wrong xD so use recount that will do it !

I'd reccomend switching from recount to an addon called Skada. Same thing basically except it takes into account absorbs and such that recount will not. Thats my 2 cents for this video, other than that good job =D

Excellent suggestion, especially to help validate the hard work out disc priest friends do. Recount can be made to track absorbtion if you install the proper modules to go along with it. So if you prefer recount, there is no good reason to change to Skada unless you're like me and want two meters running at the same time.

Xperl, yes. It is also what makes the buff larger on any of my healing targets, if you've seen my other paladin video.

At the time I was using an addon called "CBH Viewport". Now I use an addon called "Sunn Viewport Art". I don't put things "in" it, I just move them on top of it. It creates spaces above/below/sides of the screen.

Hi,

I just started raiding with a holy paladin and when I did Onyxia 10 for the first time (a sa healer that is) with myself and a priest healing, the priest absolutely slaughtered me in HPS (healing per second).

I did forget to judge Onyxia which is a huge mistake, but how do paladins fair when it comes to HPS generally?

As for judging, keep in mind that a lot of Prot Paladins will judge light, so it will end up replacing yours. HPS is very situational. In Ony if you are assigned to the tanks, there's a huge part where they really aren't taking much damage. It also depends on a the priest. A holy pries will usually win if the group is taking a lot of damage, and you'll win if it's mostly just the tanks. As long as the boss goes down, everybody's a winner.
