As far as what year it was, Dick Norman passed away in 1986 I think. They did make reference in the piece as to him recently having passed.
Damn those were the days. I used to listen lay awake at night listening to Bob on PLP. Of course I followed him over to FLA. Then he took the big dollar gig at WLS in Chicago. As things turned out I moved up that way and was able to hear my long lost buddy once again.
Waiting for the day that Bob Lassiter returns to radio. The Maddog may be dead but the legacy needs a reprise. I'd put one hour of Bob's show up against Howard Stern - any day!!!! Mr. Airstream is still the greatest radio classic
