Probably the most powerful movie I have ever seen. I watched it with a Lebanese friend of mine (he's in his forties and he went through some of the stuff in there) and just watching it with him and a group of other israeli and palestinian friends had an intense impact on our group and provided for hours of discussion after its end. How conveniently you ignore the role of extremist groups, religious ideologist and the continued racial intolerance of the area for the violence present in the region. Sinking of the Lusitania (1918) by Winsor McCay is an animation documenting the sinking of the ship because there wasn't any real footage of it.

I know many people completely against the atrocities on both sides. Here in the US the ignorance is unbearable and not enough know/care what's happening. There are many who protest it, but the government doesn't seem to care. In Israel it's the aspect of fear. You might have heard what happened to the Gaza aid ship. What can Israelis do?

How conveniently you ignore the role of extremist groups, religious ideologist and the continued racial intolerance of the area for the violence present in the region. Israel is no saint, the British colonialist are also greatly to blame for the problems of the regions, buts its not they are only playing a game also perpetuated by Islamic groups. Both sides are implicit in the violence and both are required to put away their differences for there to be peace.

The nationalist divid is just played out int he difference of religion which is where religios extremism plays out.
I personally plays the blame on UN which voted on the two state solution, when the binational solution still was a possible scenario for alot of Israelis.
