du grand Florin comme dans "Swing Gitan" jouez avec Debarre a Vienne tu veux dire ;)!!! C est vrai, mais habitant pres de Patrimonio, j'ai vu l'été dernier Costel m impressionner lors une soirée avec Romane, Tchavolo etc...(cf Nuits de la guitare programme 2009 ! ;) ) donc Costel m'est venu plus rapidement. Ils ont deux styles different mais sont tous deux des geants !

ionica minune is definitly a whole different level but in my opinion the best accordion players play on piano keys instead of buttons.. but I wish I could play 10% like richard galiano though

Just because I'm no touch on Bireli doesn't mean I have nothing to say. We criticise politicians all the time but we don't question whether we have a right to do we?

Honestly, the blind eyed fanboyism surrounding great musicians irritates me. Bireli is a fantastic player, but he's not faultless.

Haha, Bireli tried his usual shredding and it just didn't work too well here. That accordian player is damn good, Bireli would do well to take a few lessons on how to slow down off him. Don't get me wrong, Bireli is one of the best, but I think he's too quick to show off for the sake of it.

uhh... bireli shredding in this video? He seems more controlled in this performance in my opinion. it's nicely phrased and swings. How much bireli have you heard?

More controlled, yes, but you can see he tries to play at a speed that just doesn't quite fit with the song (2.16 to 2.24) and promptly changes tact. I like the way he plays when he slows down, he's definitely got a great sense of melody.

And I've seen just about every video of Bireli there is on youtube. I wouldn't have bothered to watch it if i didnt like his stuff (he's the only django-style player I really have time for (apart from django himself).
