i know its too late to help you but if you ever have a tank burst again to help with the water on the carpet put lots of bakinging soda all over the carpet let the Baking soda dry(cake up) somewhat then vacuum and repeat in conjuction with the fans with a heater behind the fan to make the air dryer.Its a shame that happened good luck next time
Be careful with draining the tank completely and replacing the gravel. The Gravel holds very Benficial Bacterial that keeps the tank at good Levels. Remember to be careful

well thats nothing mate i had a 150gallon reef tank and it burst and leaked through to the flat downstairs it was worth 5000 just on rock and fish and corals and it done 4000 quids worth of dammage ha my lanlord is my best friend and he loves me ha ha
were the fish in the tank ok
