Never mind. I found and ordered the cd online. The exact title of the cd is "The Songs of the West Side Story", if anyone else wanted to know. I can't wait to get it in the mail! I love the cd and haven't heard it in forever because most of the songs aren't online. At least not that I can find...

I'm from Corpus and I remember at least in a lot of texas he actually had her cd's pulled from the shelves for a good while because they didn't want her to sell merely because she died, but after the demand was so great he decided to sell them again.

I love this song and Selena, but seriously prefer the movie and Broadway versions. Anyone who knows the storyline knows Anita sings this to Maria as a warning song after being told that Tony killed her lover, Maria's brother Bernardo. Anita was bitter and wanted Tony dead, and while catchy, Selena's version is too pop-oriented to portray that. Especially when she sings: "Very smart, Maria, very smart!" the anger was bubbling over, and in this version, you can't even tell it's there.

I have the album and understand the point of this version, i'd hate to hear your remarks on the others hahaha..Shelia E plays on background which is great and for Sel to be asked to contribute w/the artists of that time was a big thing since she had more of a latin audience, i love it in comparis
