i am a fan since i got 2 years my watched my brother playing my first game was metal gear zanzibar land i wish i can play it once more yeah and outer heaven too i am lucky i ve got metal gear solid 3 subsistence
I hate to leave negative comments, but this movie was terrible. I'm huge metal gear solid fan and this wasn't even good. Although there was some awesome CGI and great costumes and props, but the thing that made me not like it was the dialog and the acting. There was nothing wrong with the action, action was fine. There was only one part in here that I thought was powerful and that was when they were listening to the dying solider screaming. Don't take it personal, these are just my thoughts.

That's what the people in hollywood should do, instead of taking an anime or game and try to make it how they want, they should just get a production team like these guys to fucking do it. at least they kept snake true to the source material. that's what makes this movie so good. in hollywood movies, the characters don't even look like the ones in game, and the ones that do look like their game conterpart usually are the complete oposite when they transition into film. i don't know why it's so hard for film makers to do that. if they can keep Harry Potter similar to the books i don't see why it's so hard to actually make the same effort for video game characters.

These guys did an awesome job no doubt but some things other than the voice are just off. If they make a true MGS movie, it should be animated similiar to beowulf if you ask me.

@Darien331 i think they should do both. but i hate the animated features, especially because they never look like the in game cutscenes. they always look so jerky and sort of disney like. i think they should do an animated feature, either anime style, ashley wood style, or cgi that looks almost like mgs4, but if it's not like that, i probably won't be interested. i understand what you mean by not being able to replicate him, but i think it would be cool, especially with these guys around.
I changed my mind about the idea of a Metal Gear movie being terrible. I just don't have the faith that the brilliant minds of hollywood could do the franchise as much justice as this FAN-movie did. No, not really its a work in progress. I've waited wht 5 months for this end part to come out. There is a few others sopost to come out too to finnish the story up, but i'm not sure if they still have the bugget to do it yet.
Its just part 1 for now, it says in the beginning of the movie, Part 1; Operation something, and in the ending credits, End of part 1, so yeah, theres gonna be a part 2 of the second half of the movie
this is the only videogame's movie who have preserved the orignal soul...this is not american but italian,this have not financiament but is a non profit movie,the makers aren't holliwood's stars but realy fans!
it's sad. people who don't have heart make films that are said to be gold, but really aren't, and the films that do have heart, are left in the shadows.
For a non-profit fanmovie, I think they have done an awesome job...better than Hollywood could have ever done, that's for sure.
What makes this movie so much better is that it's made by actual fans of the games and not just some director who's out to make money off the big title.

Who knows, this might be a chance for Hideo Kojima to finally step in and Direct an actual Live action MGS movie, maybe even paying homage to this movie.
