.....how nice, one of your top comments is a racial joke. call this place what you want- a lot of family fortunes were made here over the years. my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins (who weren't already in the service) worked in the mills and shops during WWII and called this area home for a long time. many families have relocated to beautiful homes in places like california, texas, and the south, and all this would not have been possible without the prosperity of the steel valley cities.

If we take a step back and ask what is prospering in youngstown? many will say nothing. i would say the music. We have had elton john, chris daughtry, av7, snoop dog, lil wayne at the covelli center. we have radio stations that broadcast all the way to ashtubula county and parts of PA. we have vex fest.

Youngstown isn't even a city, it;s an overgrown cow town. Boardman, Canfield, and Niles are OK. Campbell, Struthers, and Girard, not so much.

@TheKarellieloo I got some market street, no smokey hollow. I got more footage than would fit with one song. I know theres worse areas too LOL I taped a lot of areas I used to live in. I cant believe how dilapitdated they are now. I hope lordstown never closes, this area will die and look 10,000 times worse. I mean look what happened since the mills closed. Also my hard drive got smoked so I lost all of this and more.

Well, You aren entitled to Your opinion. And I agree Y Town WAS nice, and parts of it are still decent. But for the most part its total crap. But its still better than Warren, man talk about a shitty place .

What do you mean also known as "Torture Town"....that's annoying that you said that. Youngstown used to be a really nice area until blacks destroyed it with violence. There, I said it. It still is a nice town despite that though, with people who care about it and want the best for it. It has a lot of history to it ...the music sucks in this video.
