rFactor Kart Racer Mod

This plain sucks as a karting simulation.

The Rotax doesn't accelerate like that, of course it doesn't sound anything like that.

And karts don't drive like that, check my onboard videos to get an understanding as to why there's never been a decent kart simulator and won't be any time soon!

What they're trying to do is adapt a car simuator to run karts. It doesn't work exactly since the numbers have to be fudged to get the kart to function reliably ingame.

Plus, he's using TC ingame.

I think everyone who uses rFactor has driven a real Kart one. I like these Mods 'cause they're fun.

Still rFactor is a very good simulation... Maybe not for Karts but for other classes.

And still: My god just let us have fun. Not everyone is able to afford real motorsport so we like to drive online and have fun. Noone who does this seriously thinks that he is a great racing driver, still some drive Kart etc in RL and play rF.

yeah real karting is completly diffrent. the karts turn better and more stable... and its very easy to counter steer a slide in a real kart, but in rfactor its impossible...

Yup! You can definitely hear the traction control. He probably has ABS and stability control too! The only way to truly race is turn off all the driving aids. Unless you have a F1 cars, TC is for n00bs (-:

F1 Challenge 99-02 has hands on wheels and its older than rFactor. For rFactor there is mods or plugins to fix the hands thing

There are no hands on the steeringwheel because it makes developing harder for modders.

This game is basically made for regular simmers like you and me (with knowledge on game developing) to build their own circuits and vehicles.

Today there are loads of these so-called mods, like FiHS (Formula 1), Skoda Octivia Cup, Drift Revolution, Truck Series Racing, Megane Trophy, GP 1979, V8 Supercars, KartRacer, almost everything imaginable.

sorry my message was not that clear. R-factor is an amaizing race sim, best ive seen by far. just making a statement to the lfs people that were bashing r-factor for poor tire realism.. lfs has many flaws.. its a good sim, but no were near R-factor on many levels.
