Back in the day, early 1960s, Bessie Jones performed and recorded with the Georgia Sea Island Singers who were from St. Simons island. they were also sometimes billed as the Sea Island Singers. Rounder CD 1706 is called Sheep Sheep Don't You Know the Road.

Sheep Sheep Don't You Know the Road was recorded 4/11/60 by Alan Lomax of Bessie Jones and the Georgia Sea Island Singers. It is available on Rounder CD 1706, and possibly on other Rounder CDs. 1706 has a wide variety of Southern music, and I know there is at least one CD devoted to the Georgia Sea Island Singers wo have a wonderful repetoire.
