If this is the closest Ivey comes to what is classed as a "mistake" then it is no wonder he has such huge respect amongst his peers. I shouldn't think he gives a toss what the rest of us plebs think...
Everybody keeps saying that Ivey is an idiot but probably you are...
Everybody knows of his reputation and except from that he has a bad history with hooks and as u can see he has the lowest stack...he is in danger of leaving the table...so TITLE FAIL...
ivey prolly put him either suited AK, AA, KK. I don't think he even put him in QQ. it's not a 2/5 table where people 3bet UTG bet. Good fold by ivey, bad 3bet by saout.
playing jacks out ouf position for 1/4 of your stack? Phil had two options: go all in or fold. And Phil knows he's the best player on the table so he didn't want to put his tournament life at risk for at best a coin flip at best. Little did he know Saout was raising there with 7's
I would fold too, pocket jack is not a good hand at the flop, turn and river. great play from saout too to re-raise him... the only fault ivey makes here I guess, he raise it 2 1/2 big blind, saout may at least call him if he raise 4 times big blind
this woulda been phil's stand had he shoved which woulda been pretty standard in this spot. however saout was a really tight player and his 3bet range up till that point was like AA, KK, QQ, AK so not a horrible fold IMO
He hadn't enough to four bet and fold,so it was all in or fold pre flop.He obviously put saout on at least AK or better so figured he was at best racing.Saout played it marvellously though, the perfect bet at the right time, figuring one would imagine that only KK or AA could continue.I still reckon ivey should of thought when he raised pre flop that no matter what happens I'm going to have to go with these babies,as he was pretty low stacked and his raise was a decent chunk of his stack.

good sizing from Saout, made it look like he is prepared to call a shove, thus putting a ton of pressure on Ivey in this spot.

@ikweetbeter its like a 45%+ chance or whatever for an overcard to flop when u got pocket jacks, calling in that spot would of been a bad move
