  • THANK YOU!!!

  • 9GAG

  • your a freakin Smart person

  • I swear my maths teachers are like human calculators, they put numbers on the board and calculate them in their heads by magic oO

  • well 12x13= first i do 2x13=26 then + the remaining 10x13(it's easy)=130 so then 26+130=156

  • Your accent is da BomB!

  • Indian?

  • that is cool

  • !! :D

  • so, this only works on 2 digit mulitplications with both of them starting with 1?

  • in 134 for ex. 3 is not 3, its 30, the 1 is 100, and 4 is just a 4 sense its in the ones place. EX. 34x12 30x10=300 30x2=60 (add 300 and 60 to get 360) 4x10=40 (360+40=400) 4x2=8 (400+8=408) OR 34x10=340 2x30=60 (340+60=400) 2x4=8 (400+8=408)
  • iis is great

  • Hate :(

  • you are aweseome man seriously this is so helpful

  • The concept of Base10 is indeed the most important concept in faster Arithmetic. Glad that I could help you.

  • keep up the good work buddy.

  • thumbs up if you love these tricks

  • you get mine for sure !!

  • No matter where are from , !! You are brilliant man !! Waiting from you more , just a question does this work for the 20 ,30...etc

by just changing the base ??!

  • @TheRicoFrico, thanks for calling me Brilliant. Ofcourse you can use any multiple of 10 as a Base ( like 20, 30 ...50 etc ). Do see the 3rd video on Glad2teach website ( link below the video above ) .. Shahryar Badar Khan ( Glad2teach )

  • 0:22 Mister Rogers! lmao

  • i wonder y they dont teach this in school

  • I got laid thanks to you :D

  • Again you taught me only in 5 minutes! Would be glad, if my math teacher would be such that fast. She always uses the longest ways you can take, but paradoxically she says mathmaticians would be lazy in math.

  • awesome!

  • why cant u be my teacher????

  • I've learned more from you teaching in English than from my teacher teaching me in my maternal language.

  • Why can't school be this easy?

  • OMG WHO INVENTED MATHS? I SO WANT TO KILL THEM AND WE CALL MATHS IN THE UK NOT MATH LOL.

  • @leeboyy1 dude chill down a little, no math, no computer... just saying

  • @leeboyy1 Persians invented mathematics and science.

  • all the positive adjectives of the english language will fall short if we try to appreciate the great work taken up by the team at the KHAN ACADEMY and especially its founder SAL.

Thanks a lot for this endeavour and please keep up all the good work, wish u a great success ahead...

  • why do i try 21x15 i get 265 the correct answer is 315 can you help?

  • @LegendHeroesSlayer wtf, 21x15=2x15=30x+1x15=315

  • Comment removed

  • @LegendHeroesSlayer & @lepadatuandrei21 Rememer how you have to start this process is by figuring out how much bigger our numbers are than 10. in this problem it is 21-10=11 so you should end up with these 2 steps of 21+5=26_ and 11x5=55 are our numbers to add 260 + 55 or as they show it 26_ + 55.

Like lepadatuandrei21 shows the _1's method is faster for solving this problem. The way they are having students do all multiplication will be easier for most to do in their head for larger numbers.

  • taco taco

  • Awesome

  • Learn these tricks - one sure way to get laid ... only kidding ... making maths fun tough nut but you are cracking it

  • nice.......

  • 3:32 "dodid number

  • Last year when I was 13 I discovered exactly this way to calculate this kind of numbers! but I'm a math geek who is 3 years before my age so ... (not bragging) :P

  • Do you say “what are mathematics about?” or do you say, “what is mathematics about?”

  • man you are awesome ;)

  • Thank you~! :D

  • @awaqar Thnx :)

  • Nice but limited..

  • wow what a good trick

  • boring!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg

  • Mathematics is Math in USA and Canada , while it is Maths is UK and India. I have taught students from these countries thus I know for sure.

  • @Entropy56 that was necessary...

  • @ollikahn001 Okays, Is gets its

  • @Entropy56 It's mathematic(s) note the S. when abbreviated the s is added on, perhaps you should check out some english tricks

  • @Entropy56 Math is American English while Maths is British English.

  • @Entropy56 ignorant u

  • I have another method to calculate it 13 * 12 =..........??? first multiply the units we get 6

step:2 add both of the units digit we get 5 write that in tenth's digit and the hundredth digit is always 1

Note: if the sum of digit's exceeds 10 then carry should add to preceding digit

    lets see an example 18 * 17=

    step 1 : 7*8=56 take carry and write - - 6

step 2: 7+8=15 plus the carry of 5 we get 20 write -06

step 3: 1+2 (since carry from tenth's digit is 2 ,we get 3) now write 306

  • but what about numbers like 134*537 ? or 946*837? or 65*47 ? please answer!! and thanks!

  • Amazing

  • Amezing

  • This a small example of the most basic distributive property not a break through in easy math.

  • I'm terrible with math, always have been and I'm 53. I can't even balance a check book. This way of multiplying I'm kinda getting into. It's a little confusing at first but I'm picking it up. I think I need to watch this video a couple more times. I would SO love to understand mathematics for the first time in my life. I'm gonna watch all the videos.

  • @LDtutorials

    Huh?

  • Sir aapne to meri zindagi hi badal di!!!

  • TAKE THAT MATH TEACHER

  • can u do 22x21???????

  • @Sumanth575 Not sure about 22*21! But very sure about 9. "Speed maths- Multiplying without multiplying". Click on my username and check the vid. Cheers.

  • what about mutiplies of 20, 30, 40, ect?

  • what about 77 times 16.... mixed

  • You changed my life. You made my day, seriously!!! PS: Subscribed. One more thing.. If I have.. 23x23 (as example).. I should do.. 23+3 = 26, then, it's not 10 with one zero, but 20 with a two and a zero, so I should do (26x2)_ That is 52_ then 3 times 3 = 9, so 529? I haven't tried with a caclulator, so I don't know if it's right.. By the way, seriously man, you made my day, my life! Respect, bro!

  • I feel powerful :D

  • hey can u do that for 67x14

  • Can you do 25*65?

  • During a maths lesson my teacher gave me a really hard equation to solve in front of the class.

"Come along Watkins!" he boomed "What's the answer?"

"I'm not sure" I replied nervously "What do you think?"

"I don't 'THINK', Watkins. I 'KNOW" he said back sarcastically.

    "I don't think I know either Sir"

  • Do you have tricks for 2digit # multiplied to 1digit number like 50x7???

  • @RICHARDBENIT0 just multiply the first digit in 50 thats 5 and then the 7, so 5 x 7 =35_ then u add zero, thats 350. but this only applies in 2 or more digit numbers which ends in zero multiplied to a one digit number, 40 x 4 = 160. because 4x4=16 then u add 0, u got 160. 110x 3=330.

  • im in grade 7 and my teacher makes me do it the hard way cuz he thinks i might cheat or something -.-.

  • Is this vedic maths?

  • wow.

  • u shouldnt learn this kind of things, cus if u might make a mistake and ruin the math problem..

  • Wow they really do teach us the hardest ways to do everything. Thank you for making this very to the point and informative video.

  • cool

  • wow!!! i wish you were my teacher in primary school. thanks for the tip

  • Tried 41 x 16. No work, prefer harder method.

  • @skylark8008 Wrong Answer: 41 + 6 = 47, 41 x 16 = 470 + (1 x 6) = 476. Correct Answer: 41 x 16 = 656.

  • i like this guy

  • what do you call this operation sir???

  • haha you are funny dude. I wish you were my teacher in highschool...

  • THANK YOU I WISH I WOULD HAVE WATCHED THIS VIDEO WHEN I WAS 10 years old

  • Hi Mr glad2teach, this is a good idea but you forgot to mention that it works only for multiples less that 20 ( 20>x>10)

  • I would like to buy all the videos but from my country I can't buy anything online until I have 18 years, and my parents don't want to waste money so I end up being stupid ;(

  • @SirbuIonDan maybe show your parents these video's and they will also want to learn.

  • @Sood81 nop,I would like to see the video on how to learn it,but if it's not free to download I just can't see it,because my parents won't put money on the internet, and from my country I just don't know where to put them money.oh and 1 dollar to us is like 11 dollars to americans as 1 euro for us is like 16euro for the Europe,we just ended up in crisis and guvernament problems, and others, well sometimes I feel that I wasn't born in the right place, but I'm thankfull for where I am
