One off Moore colder moments. Usually he was allways one of the more softer bonds, and didn` t have alot brutal fights and such. He is still ones my favorites along with brosnan and connery though.
Why did Roger moore get so many fight scenes in this film alone he has about 3 big fights its a shame dalton or any of the others never got to do as many fights as him it wuld have suited them better moore better at playing the joker bond lol.
Why did Roger Moore have such an issue with his Bond kicking the assassin's car over the cliff in 'For Your Eyes Only' when this scene shows Bond doing almost exactly the same cold blooded action?!!
This was an easy fight for Moore's Bond because Sandor doesn't really fight back. But Sandor is well muscled and should have been able to punch and kick Moore's Bond around equally. The character had to be more trained in hand-to-hand combat.
Roger Moore is just plain ruthless ;) he does a similar thing in for your eyes only where he kicks that car off the cliff with that bloke in it, but just like in this scene he does it because in each case the villain killed a woman, ruthless but with morals I fucking love it! classic bond.
the spy who loved me and all bond movies up to die another day shit all over casino royale and quontom of solace tbh :) the daniel craig films are just plain shit !!
Why did Bond's enemies like to just throw him around so much instead of simply beating the hell out of him???? Odd Job, Jaws, Sandor, etc. waste a lot of time playing 'Bond Toss' when they could be kicking in his face.
In any event, this is my favorite Moore-Bond line: "What a helpful chap."
The fights in these films were always very staged. I will defend Odd Job by saying that he knew the atomic bomb was going to explode and he wanted to pass time on by tossing bond around fort knox. Also don't forget that bond has never been potrayed as a lethal assassin, not even in the new ones. The villian always has to try to kill Bond first so that it looks to the audience that Bond has no choice but to kill them.
Good points, especially about Oddjob; I never took into account that he might just be toying w/Bond as they await the inevitable, like a cat with a mouse he has no intention of eating.

Goes to show you that the fights back then were kinda laughable. I mean, what's with 16:00-17:00? It's like he's about to embrace him in a c'mere and kiss me hug. And when Sandor drops the gun it totally sounds like plastic.
And people say Roger Moore was too goofy, eh? The part where he just flips the tie out of Sandor's hand and sends him falling to the ground is definitely one of Bond's toughest moments.
I like Goldeneye, Goldfinger, The Living Daylights, and the one with Emile Locque as a villian. But in truth, I love them all. Connery is my most favorite, then Pierce, then Moore, and the others in equal order....
Moore USED to be my number 2. But Pierce maintains that SERIOUS Bond image, which I like in addition to dark humor and other features, lol.
Yeah, Goldeneye kicked ass. But what the studio REALLY NEEDS....is a villian that trumps the world....they need a criminal who really knows how to push Bond's buttons....
@Ian911299 Roger Moore wasn't goofy at all, the 70's/mid 80's Bond stuff seemed just a bit .. cartoonish : walking in a bar in Harlem dressed like a Lord, Scaramanga's theme park, Jaws, the Tarzan howl in Octopussy, and countless other things... It was clearly light-hearted, but he's still my favourite : toughness, wit, mixed with very British coolness.
Don't forget also when he shoots the harpoon gun thru two guards on the Liparus in Spy Who Loved Me. And when he kicked the bad guy's car over the cliff in For Your Eyes Only.
One off Moore colder moments. Usually he was allways one of the more softer bonds, and didn` t have alot brutal fights and such. He is still ones my favorites along with brosnan and connery though.
