Where did you connect the piston to the gear (I assume that it is a 40T gear)? Did you connect it in the outer O holes or the + axle holes ???

wat is the clear piece??

The TWO clear pieces are 90 degree elbows that will translate axle rotation in one direction 90 degrees. You can make it with any convenient gears. I got them from the RECORD AND PLAY set that Lego produced. I use it to get more torque to the pump from ONE motor... Bill

I created a marble pump just liek this but with a server motor and a different design. Thank you bill for helping me solve the mystery :)

Glad to be of service!!! My wish is that one and all will COPY AND STEAL every thing I build!!! I want to ENCOURAGE not only copying but trying to IMPROVE on my stuff!!! The Marble Pump really was a challenge - but in the end was rather simple once I figured it out. Then I TRY to teach what I have learned. It is the old SGT in me coming out.
