Haha, pretend? There's a reason they call it an *acquired* taste. I felt the same way with my first few tastes, figured why waste my time on something shitty when I could get drunker with better taste via liquor; but for many, many years now I have loved and preferred beer, in both flavor and buzz. Quality makes a HUGE difference (shitty beer is definitely shitty), and the right beer can be an amazing complement to the right food. But hey, it's not for everyone I guess.
