  • I tried to find Candyland bingo at all the usual shops (in Australia) and no one seems to have it. I can buy it for about $20 from Amazon though.

  • How about twister? I loved it growing up, it great when he has playdates.

  • Uno Moo! The kids love Uno Moo! We don't really cover up the pieces, though. But it is their favorite game.

  • Try getting games are your local thrift shop too... Like Goodwill or Savers... Super cheap, it may be missing some pieces but if your imaginative, you can substitute

  • candy land is great as soon as they know their colors.

  • Hullabaloo is a great game. I got it at a garage sale so the spaghetti is missing but it is fun. My 19 month old doesn't get it but loves to play with us. It works on colors, shapes, sharing, you are up and moving spinning, jumping, walking to the pieces. Check it out!

  • Great review! We love games too. A favorite here is the I Spy card game...when my son was younger we used the cards for matching, then a memory game and now that he's 4, he loves to play go fish. Lots of use for around $6...online or ToysRUs

  • We play card games, my 3.5yo loves snap!

  • my son is 27 months and we have just started playing kerplunk with him.

  • GREAT video!!! I got a lot of games for my classroom at Goodwill for .25! A good one was called Snail Pace Race but I have no idea if you can get it new still or how much it would cost...

  • Heard of doggy doo? ... i find it rather vulger, but its funny, xD in a way its kinda educational in the respect that its practically what goes into looking after an animal. although, the only bad thing about it, is that theres this gripper thing on the leash, My cousain is about 4-5 years old, her hands are too small to pump the leash by herself.

  • Love this video! Great garage sale finds! I like to find games at thrift stores as well as garage sales :)

  • Apples to apples

  • I never really thought about bingo games - will have to have a look for those. My son got Hungry Hippos and Buckaroo for Christmas. Hungry Hippos was a big hit - haven`t tried him with Buckaroo yet. Think I`ll give it a go today:-) x

  • Leap Frog Bingo for $1! Steal! While I'm at work, we play the candy land bingo alot. As well as Uno, Go Fish, and Memory :)

  • great video! definitely getting those for my daughter. thanks for the video! if you find more games you like please let me know. My daughter loves to play games.

  • thanks! i've been wondering which games we can start playing. Amazon has both of the ones you recommend.

  • I should have added Whack-a-Mole. That one definitely teaches patience in our household, but it's a lot of fun.

  • We've gotten a couple of DK Games at Barnes & Noble for our toddler boys. They're so simple and made durably with easy to read boards and pieces. The Alphabet one has been lots of fun for them, and it's still sold at Barnes & Noble. Another one we liked was a farm Bingo game, but I can't find it anywhere online-it might be out of print. I noticed that Amazon.com has a few of these games in the books section. I just searched DK Games in the Children's Books section.

  • super cute games!!

  • I have a 4 yr old. He loves connect 4. Also loves Hi ho cheery-o. He has patients these days for games so he loves candy land, aggrivation, chutes and ladders. He also like the memory games. We also do 100 to 50 piece puzzles. Those can be cheep as well.

  • We got Brooklyn Break the Ice...You build the ice rink, one block is larger & you place a ice skater figurine on it. Each person takes turn breaking the ice with an included mallet. Last person to break ice without breaking the larger ice wins. She also got Cooties you roll a dice & build your cootie based on the # you roll. First to Build their Cootie Bug Wins. Both cost around $5!

  • Great video idea! For some reason I thought board games was so much further into the future. I'm really excited about the idea of playing board games sooner. I loved board games when I was little.

  • from hitting the ground, fill cups with different amounts of water and tap them to see the noise they make I have hundreds of ideas these are a few favorites:-) corn starch and water is always fun to play with also but messy (sorry I don't know why that posted twice here is the end though:-))

  • I had candy land bingo as a kid that brought back memories:-) Davis likes guess who, memory games, get a muffin tin and separate the colors of cereal like fruit loops, measuring/estimation get different size containers and dump water in them guessing how many it will take to fill it up or just guessing if it will fit, mixing colors with food coloring and water cups, cut out the middle of paper plates and play ring toss with pop bottles, glue a stick on a paper plate and try to keep a balloon fr

  • I play dominos just matching the amount of dots is fun they do have picture games but old fashion ones work too. I also love perfection we don't use the timer yet but we fit the pieces in their appropriate spots fun fun fun :)

  • The games you have look great! We make up random games with Jesse's toys, but don't have any board games. I'm definitely interested in the ones you showed though. Quick and easy!

  • great video!

  • I like the Candyland Castle game (not the original yet) for this age group and also Let's Go Fishin because my 2 year old tries and can actually catch fish sometimes which fills her with such joy! Definitely her favorite game :)

  • Games are a huge hit at my house too! Good video!

  • Aw, I look forward to when Shiiloh can play games. He love attention but there's not much you can do with an infant beside peek-a-boo and read books. Both still important, but games will be fun too :)

  • This is great Amy. I was just thinking that my boy is getting old enough to play some board games but didn't know which were good. Thanks!

  • We got our son 3-D Farm Memory Match-Up by Little Tikes; he loves playing matching games & also puzzles (24 piece). My husband also got him The Angry Birds knock on wood "real life game" Since he LOVES playing Angry Birds on our IPhones. It's for 5 and up but he just loves to build the wood with the pigs on it and knock them down with the birds! lol We got all these games @ Kmart! Oh and one more game we got him was Monkey's in a barrel!

  • great ideas.

  • Long time subscriber just never comment. I got my 4 year old son hi ho cherry-o for Xmas at Walmart for just under $6. He loves it. Quick games and an easy concept.

  • @kklick3 I have that one but haven't tried it with him b/c I thought he was too little..maybe not!! I'll try it! Thanks!

  • Amy seriously u need to get the leap frog letter factory board game! Jayden got it for Christmas and he loves it :)

  • @08jaydensmommy08 Where can I buy it?

  • @08jaydensmommy08 I was wondering where to buy it too. I know you bought yours at consignment but i cant find one anywhere locally :/

  • @raisingbushs I was looking for it in store for Amy and couldn't find it anywhere either. Maybe you can hunt one down on Ebay or something? I found a few of them on there. It's a great game for the younger kiddos!! :o)

  • @08jaydensmommy08 Thanks! I had looked at Ebay last night and plan on keeping an eye out for it at a consignment sale that I am going to later this month.

I am also going to buy the Leapfrog Bingo that Amy mentioned. We are a leapfrog household :)

  • Those look like some great games! I just started playing the memory game - where you flip 2 cards that match. Comes with 50 pieces but since my son is 2 and we just started playing, we just use 10 at a time for now. I'm going to look for some of those games you reviewed, thanks!
