I think this "red eyes" is really the fullest extent of heartless evolution, think about it, if a heartless is born from darkness, then it needs more darkness to ascend to a higher state, knowing the realm of darkness, the shadow stalker that thing was was really a first level, then within the realm of darkness, it evolved into dark thorn, and finally into red eye. This is my theory on red eye.

@Haro13337 Not necessarily. Sora has already faced much greater dangers than Aqua or the other 2. He's even beaten Terra's armor embodiment. Also take into consideration that Xemnas and Ansem; by default, are stronger than Xehenort(sorry if misspelled). And Aqua could barely hold her own against Xehenort, even with help. In fact, Sora would have already taken the mastery exam if he wasn't busy saving the realm of light for the past 1.5-2years. What can I say, he's a busy kid.

@NaoeDeath There's a difference between current potential and future potential. Sora has the potential to have keyblade powers that are superhuman, thanks to the strength of his heart. We've been seeing hints of that throughout the entire series of the games. Sora actually getting those near superhuman powers all depends on if he can unlock his potential with the help of Yen Sid in DDD.

well here's what i think. Unversed are the primal essence of darkness that exists in every mans heart before it consumes the heart and become a heartless. Vanitas was the darkness of the heart and all the specific unversed were just from him alone. seeing as his heart was so stained with darkness, he could've produced milions of them
