  • Do you have any idea on the price of this product? @AirgunTV

  • @stavers96 check their website for pricing. cant type the url into here cause youtube wont allow it but google nitesite and you'll find it

  • i know your not supposed to hunt avian species after dark with lamp or nightvision but you cant honestly say you haven't i mean look at the bag size and crop protection you could do with a nightvision in a woodland habitat with a silent rifle. tbh i think the law should be revoked as in my eyes this would be by far the most effective way of controlling the pigeon population.

  • Got my new toy, a NS200. Got set up, took about 5 mins on my 22LR with a hawke 12x scope. Went out last night... I am a very happy man!!! The rabbit population did not like it.. Was looking at what people were saying about it lighting up your face, I didnt get any problems. Was shooting up to 70yds and didnt need to turn it up past no 2 setting.

  • from the people that has bought one and tested it, it hasnt got a great review, they have had to do there own mods to make it function 100% all of the time. seems to me that it wasnt thought out for hunters before it went for sale. this is another product thats being sold off of the back of a sony cam at the back of the scope idea. just my thoughts and im entitled to voice them, ATB john

  • @bigjohntightlips What mods do you mean? I assume you mean the light given off by the screen and its reflection on the shooter?...Or is there more?

  • Nice. Will be this sight export outside of UK?

  • Hi thanks would love to get one on those!!

  • Hi can this product be exported to South Africa?

  • @Gdogg1967 hi, i would get in touch with the team. there is an email form available on their website, i'm sure they would be more than happy to post out to you :) search nitesite in google and you will find their website (it wont let me post it on here :(

  • @skuthepoo Hi Dude thanks for the reply i did twice now but no answer!! pity

  • @Gdogg1967 hey, i will see if i can get in touch with them for you :)

  • is there a zoom on the unit

  • @TheBoofdog the unit has no zoom, but relys on the zoom of your scope. i have seen digital NV scopes where the zoom is digital, and thus compromises picture quality, thats why this units picture quality is SO good!

  • @PLEDGEY have you used a nitesite to be so sure of that?

  • I would say if you're going to buy the NS200....don't. Beg, steal, or borrow another grand from some where and get your hands on an Archer Star Light c/w Firefly IR. I have had 'other' NV set ups, but this one is brilliant, does every thing a NV set up should do.

  • IMPORTANT NOTICE to all UK viewers. The Wildlife & Countryside Act, 1981 doesn't allow night-time shooting of avian species (only ground mamals). It's not just lamping they ban the practice with; it's 'devices for night shooting', too. So you must not use the NiteSite to shoot birds after dark.

  • @AirgunTV SO .

  • @AirgunTV

Thats a odd law, why do you think that is? Given flying air rifle quarry are all vermin and i'd guess would be easier to dispatch whilst roosting.

Do they just think its unsporting perhaps?

  • @srspower Hey - this is Britain. We make laws just to be able to make laws! And if there's a hint of gun involved - BINGO! Even more laws!

  • @AirgunTV I think its to do with the fact that when shooting up in the sky at night you don't always know whats in the distance is. But it still is of stupid...

  • @srspower they do it because of airoplanes an other flyin objects lol

  • Might seem like a dumb question but the difference between the two models is the distance it can view (NS50 = 50 yds and NS200 = 200 yds) is this because of the IR emitter or am I missing a trick.

  • @rosslj Yes - it's the sensitivity of the camera module. This is all explained in the article in September 2011 edition of Airgun Shooter magazine. On-line 'virtual' version available to buy at yudu dot com - search 'Airgun Shooter'. HTH

  • i used one of these tonight, and its fantastic. the results are way better than you can tell from the video footage. the picture is crystal clear! and i was only using the NS50 model which doesnt see as far as the NS200. its fantastic. i took a few short videos of the screen on my phone of a few of the rat kills. will upload when i have the chance

  • Oooo espensive!

  • I have to say it looks great! I want to see the vid channel output to a MPR, does it record sound?

  • @carbonrocket Yes - it records sound

  • Available from the end of august - prices are 399 for the NS50 (50 yards of shooting) and the 599 for the NS200 (200 yards of shooting).

  • how much r they and were can i get one they look great i do alot of lamping and shooting at night

  • I am holding one of these units right now. Can't wait to finally get out there any try one! I produced the soundtrack to this vid. Its a fantastic product. Any non believers have to see it in action before doubting!

  • @skuthepoo great soundtrack steve!

    Greetings DC ;)

  • how much tho

  • @TheBoofdog went and saw them at a game fair its 400quid

  • That looks usable....gonna be expensive then! LOL

  • @actionman333 Considering the price of current night vision units it is pretty cheap. A few details can be found in the August 2011 edition of the Air Gun Shooter magazine.

  • @TheJonnyCraven And some more snippets in July 2011's archive on Nigel Allen's Blog, too...

  • Very good this device.

  • Head position looks shocking, and that screen's going to light up your face like a beacon! I'll stick with my ASPro methinks!

  • Nice very nite.

  • Having tried another add-on, and dedicated NV's, I remarked on the BBS (some bloke)that my idea of an optimum NV unit would be to put the right things in the right place and build the unit around them: Well this looks even better and without tooling up costs for an integral unit I'm hoping to find this useable and affordable. Can't wait for the reviews - and I'm up for doing one - hint hint to the producers of this.

  • This is a brilliant bit of kit. Alot of time went in to this and im glad to see its finally out there. Been able to see it through from the very first design to now near the release.

Ive used it on my .22 rimfire and it is brilliant.

  • thanks for the response nite site think most people like to look and see specs and costs rather than talk on the phone about it, so will be good when your sites up and running...cheers del

  • That looks like a cracking bit of kit.!!!

  • @AirgunGear Well... now you've tried it for yourself, you know it IS a cracking bit of kit!!!

  • NITESITE the website is not finished and will hopefully be on line at the end of this week apologies for the delay the 0800 number is active for any inquiries. Thank you all for your patience.

    Phil

  • Nice concept. However Im not sure how well i could shoot with my cheek up waiving about in the air, Im old school, three points of contact and all that.

  • @mrmactknife Having now used it the last couple of nights, it's nothing like as bad as you might 'imagine' it to be. For close stuff, like rats in outbuildings, we've found it best with a shooting stick as a rest. When fox-hunting (not with airguns!), we were in a vehicle, so the gun was rested solidly anyway. In fact, the lack of any need to get your head into a 'normal' position proved an advantage, rather than a hindrance. And for rabbits, we just sat down and rested the gun on our legs.

  • Why not post a web address? This is impossible to find anywhere. What is the resolution of the camera? Works in day or night modes? This video sparked my interest but presents more questions than answers.

  • @RDJim Perhaps there is a problem with their server or something? Give it a couple of days. You can always ring the FREEPHONE no. that's quoted in the movie. I've asked Nite Site to answer your queries on here. :)

  • @AirgunTV Thanks. Looking forward to some details. BTW, that's not a toll free 800 number in the video, I believe it's a UK phone requiring 011 + 44 before the number.

  • @RDJim Yes, sorry - it's only toll-free if you're in the UK

  • this website cant be found by google

  • @moonbear There seems to be a problem, now. I've contacted Nite Site directly and they are working on it

  • @moonbear

We are working on the website to get it up an running for the end of this week hopefully. Thank you for your comments and patience.
