My PC is fucking out of date, I mean big time, I have a 3GB DRR RAM, 8800GT and an AMD Opteron 2.6ghz Dual Core, my motherboard is out of date, and that is a Socket 939. The only part of my PC which isn't out of date is the GPU. CPU and RAM is. I can run IV on High with 25FPS. (Now I can, did run it on 22FPS, but I gained some FPS with the 2nd patch and the new 180.22 drivers)

Watch my videos and you'll see that the game engine is a piece of trash. I have AMD 64 4800+, 2 GB RAM, 8800 GTX and average about 20-25 FPS all throughout the city. Very rarely does it ever go above 25, and when it does, it's only for rare moments such as when you're looking out over a cliff and into nothing but the ocean and sky (no skyscrapers in view, as it will drop down again).
This game just runs like shit for everyone, and looks like it, too. (Jaggies E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E!)
My CPU is not the greatest, but it also doesn't struggle when I play other games such as Crysis, Red Alert 3, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2, and so forth. GTA IV has been the only game to run like a piece of shit because of my CPU alone.
It's just ridiculous that my CPU suddenly goes from being just fine to being unable to play a game at decent frame rates even with everything turned down to low.

I really wouldn't take a console even if it was given to me for free. You can only play games on a console, on LOWER resolutions that you can on a PC, and with worse controls (try to play a first person shooter with a gamepad... REALLY sucks and is not comfortable at all).
To sum it up: The PC can do EVERYTHING a console can do 100000 TIMES BETTER, and can do SO much more a console can't.
And the PC is the expensive way for someone who wants to enjoy high-quality gaming as well as everything else the PC can offer (which is much, much more than a console can).

Uh, firstly I wasn't talking about the game. I was talking about the capabilities of PCs and consoles. Which is a sector where PC's obviously win.
The PC of this video is mediocre, which is why it's not running good. You can easily find PCs with Quad Cores and a decent graphics card running at High or better with great fps. And may I remind you that the medium of this game on the PC looks like the Highest on the consoles. Which pretty much means PC's win.
And by they way I've played this on a friend's PS3, and turns out that no the consoles aren't always running fine as you said. When you sped up or there was instant action it was always a bit (if not a lot) laggy.
AS OPPOSED to the PC, where, if you have a good processor (quad recommended) and a good graphics card (ie. 8800GT) you can run it at high with no problems and still get better performance and graphics than the consoles.
So to end my response to you, the PC is still hundreds of times better in every single thing you can think of. That's why it's more expensive anyway - the best costs more, and if you can afford it you get to enjoy it.
And as I said, if you have a good PC, yuo can enjoy this game with very good performance and much better graphics than the consoles (which have started to fall back as their graphics will no longer evolve as opposed to the Pc's which is upgradeable).
Instead of spending £200-£300 on a Console then a Further £40 on every game that you want, You can buy the game for the Pc. A lot of people already have a Pc anyway for work or just sitting in their home. If the game isnt smooth you can upgrade the Ram for £20.
Your saving about £150-£250 which not a lot of people have to spend just so the game will load faster
unfortunately for you, it will not. You see, GTA IV for the PC requires at least 2 gigabytes to run somewhat smoothly. If you upgraded that, you will still have some problems. GTA IV also requires at least 18 gigs of free Hard-drive space to install. On top of it all, you will need good video and sound cards to launch the game and according to the specs of your laptop, it may not even launch at all.

Lol I am from Bulgaria and we don't have any problems and we use Razor1911's crack. The game is perfect if your PC is good it will work. No need to say it laggs on every computer because on your laggs. It's just your computer. But it is true, there is going to be a patch and it will fix some buggs.

Dude, let people deside wich version they like better. I know enough about technology, and I also know the xbox 360 and ps3 versions are allways running fine, and if you look good enough in this vid, you'll see this version aint running that good, shitty images in gameplay. As far as my knowledge goes of technology, I know that I'd rather have a good version of this game, then a version just like in this vid.

With a QuadCore about 3Ghz and a Card about 7900 / 3850 you can run it with 30 fps. This Game is extreme CPU limited.

And the damn cut scenes are 32 fps (hardcoded), and it will never be synchron with the 60hz of an TFT. So it will never run smooth....shit.

I agree with you, 19365827.
I really wouldn't take a console even if it was given to me for free. You can only play games on a console, on LOWER resolutions that you can on a PC, and with worse controls (try to play a first person shooter with a gamepad... REALLY sucks and is not comfortable at all).
To sum it up: The PC can do EVERYTHING a console can do 100000 TIMES BETTER, and can do SO much more a console can't.
Consoles = cheap solutions for gaming only.

And the PC is the expensive way for someone who wants to enjoy high-quality gaming as well as everything else the PC can offer (which is much, much more than a console can).
The fact that some people say Consoles are better than PCs is just so embarassing for them because it shows they have absolutely no clue about technology, as the fact that the PC is millions of times better than the consoles on every single thing is undisputed.

Uh, firstly I wasn't talking about the game. I was talking about the capabilities of PCs and consoles. Which is a sector where PC's obviously win.
The PC of this video is mediocre, which is why it's not running good. You can easily find PCs with Quad Cores and a decent graphics card running at High or better with great fps. And may I remind you that the medium of this game on the PC looks like the Highest on the consoles. Which pretty much means PC's win.

And by they way I've played this on a friend's PS3, and turns out that no the consoles aren't always running fine as you said. When you sped up or there was instant action it was always a bit (if not a lot) laggy.
AS OPPOSED to the PC, where, if you have a good processor (quad recommended) and a good graphics card (ie. 8800GT) you can run it at high with no problems and still get better performance and graphics than the consoles.

So to end my response to you, the PC is still hundreds of times better in every single thing you can think of. That's why it's more expensive anyway - the best costs more, and if you can afford it you get to enjoy it.
And as I said, if you have a good PC, yuo can enjoy this game with very good performance and much better graphics than the consoles (which have started to fall back as their graphics will no longer evolve as opposed to the Pc's which is upgradeable).

Besides the Xbox360 controller (which I really don't like) you can use Logitech ones (as far as I know of personal experience).

Because the Graphics on the Pc are far better.
Instead of spending £200-£300 on a Console then a Further £40 on every game that you want, You can buy the game for the Pc. A lot of people already have a Pc anyway for work or just sitting in their home. If the game isnt smooth you can upgrade the Ram for £20.
Your saving about £150-£250 which not a lot of people have to spend just so the game will load faster

unfortunately for you, it will not. You see, GTA IV for the PC requires at least 2 gigabytes to run somewhat smoothly. If you upgraded that, you will still have some problems. GTA IV also requires at least 18 gigs of free Hard-drive space to install. On top of it all, you will need good video and sound cards to launch the game and according to the specs of your laptop, it may not even launch at all.

i dont understand why these pc gamers that would considor buying this game for pc are playing their games with old obsolete hardware. Personally i like the fact that the pc games demand the best from current technology. if you want a ok looking game and ease of use, buy a console. but if you want cutting edge graphics, go pc. but dont moan about crap performance if you are playing with even a core 2 duo e ??? or lame ass ram and cards when even on the box it says, core 2 quad!!!

there are so many moaners out there!!! i havent got the game yet, but what im hearing is that people are asking if there shitty graphics cards like 8600 and 9600 will play it, with lame ass processeors too. obviosuly , a bit like crysis on the demand side of things. therefore, get an 8800gt, bout 100 quid and a core 2 quad as reccomeneded with 4 gig of ram and it should be fine.

This game wont run on anyones pc for now.... Just on randomly on some pc's. My specs are over the recomended limit and it lags even more than this on 800x600 resolution and all details low....gotta wait for patch to get it work properly

Lol I am from Bulgaria and we don't have any problems and we use Razor1911's crack. The game is perfect if your PC is good it will work. No need to say it laggs on every computer because on your laggs. It's just your computer. But it is true, there is going to be a patch and it will fix some buggs.
