Potti originated the tap shooting with M4/AK along with Bunny Hop w/ Glock.. Players whom awped back in the day had far faster reflexes especially since the awp had almost no delay in shooting. No one currently including Markeloff has the reflexes of JR back in his 1.3/1.5 days. RWA has probably the fast awp reflexes in 1.6 that goes unrespected. He is still the only player to AWP mid on D2 and pick 3 players crossing in a single round in a major event. Classic Players > Current !

@KTger Just because someone is lucky to get 3 frags in mid on dust2 doesnt make him the best awper in the history of cs 1.6. If your were any good at cs you would know better. A lot of the "classic" players are still playing competitive aswell. The skill, training and motivation of the current players are just at a totally different level than it was 7-8 years ago. Obviously Potti is still one of the best players in the history of cs but dont say that some of the current players are not.

Kids are so foolish these days.. So many of the people whom responded here talking about Potti not being one of the best players, think that CS is at its best right now.. Infact the talent in CS has hit an all time low. Half the ESEA-I teams consist of CAL-O/IM Caliber players back when CS was really and truly at its peek 6-8 years ago. Current tournaments host 20 teams? CPL in 02 hosted over 100+ .. You realize everything Potti, HeatoN, SpawN, JohnnyR, RwA, Ksharp, etc is emulated today ..

Yes, Potti was really good and would probably still be pretty good today, but I highly doubt he would be on the same level as f0rest or GeT_RiGhT, etc. That was kind of proven by SpawN's "comeback."

Look at ANY sport and the past players never stack up to the present but it doesnt matter because if you were the best back then that is all that really mattered.

These were the best times in cs... i started right before 1.3 came out and everybody seemed to be learning the game, it was fresh and new. Haven't followed teams nowadays but I do recall some great teams like... NiP, x3 then 3D , um NERVE from canada, TSO, Gamers X, zEx, Rival, TEC... i played them for cal-im playoffs back then. And also m19 from russia ... 4k, mTw, matrix with Spawn... vesslan, element... the golden years of cs by far, that many of you dont even know existed. Cheers.
