I broke contact with my family back in 2003. If I ever need to see them all I have to do is watch Jerry Springer and I am reminded of why I left. Some families are not worth having around.
Don't worry. The economy is turning around and I am very qualifed and I won't be unemployed for much longer.
Interesting. I am slowly cutting ties with a portion of my family due to what happened two weeks ago. You can't pick your family but I can pick how allow them in my life.
Dude why work for someone else? start up your own enterprise it's easier than you think
You should dress up as a clown and hang out in shopping malls making balloon animals for kids, you'd be a great children's entertainer
You can charge $3 or $4 for balloon hats or animals at the mall, you can also hand out leaflets advertising your services as a performer at kids parties, you can get $200 per party and do 2 or three a day on Saturday & Sunday
Well my last employer was a taxi company. I have since been applying to so far 5 other taxi places. I have experience as a driver, dispatcher, and call taker.
Ever thought about running a shuttle van to the border? I've thought about starting a shuttle business, but I have a good job and don't know anything about the industry. Just de languish.
Perhaps the gov is in a lending mood, and going to the SBA, you can get a loan to buy a van and start a company.
I've had 4 business go belly-up. I'm looking into starting a new one in the tourism industry. If I had the cash and the knowledge, I'd start a pawn shop, or maybe a bar/club. In good times and in bad times, there's always work to be done. I know a guy in Colombia who lives in a town where the median income is $75 USD/month. He has 5 businesses: A hotdog cart, a cab, an electronics store, an office supply store, and he teaches basic computer skills.
Still after losing everything I had down to this laptop and the clothes I was wearing, I never want to do my own business again. There are plenty of jobs out there. I won't be unemployed for too long.
Atlst they wre honest enough to say, "No." In my trying to get in they left me hanging for months I finally got in for seasonal I'll see where I go from there. Where I am the unemployment rate continues to go up, man now I wanna move to Phonex.
I love your attitude! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you if you do the same for me! ;)

That is an idea. I used to work for a temp agency back when I was 19 and I did a few weeks at a 7 UP plant.

So, is there a reason you're not driving a cab? My brother is a cab driver in Texas, and he's always talking about how there's such a high turnover.
