  • I always found this scene...insulting, I guess. Littlefoot's mother just died and then this cutesy thing happened? Like, cute stuff makes up for horrible events? As a kid I practically blew a gasket over this. >:c

  • Ho crap it is so sad at the end of this scene

  • i hate this part.. im like crying cause Littlefoot's mom is dead... then this funny scene happens lol

  • To my recollection, this is the only movie that has made me cry, but it wasn't at the part where Littlefoot's mom died. It was this scene.

  • I'll allways remember watching this 6 years old saturday on the tv(Im now 16 years old)...I loved it so much! And i still love this one!

  • i miss this show it used to be on tv now i can't find the chanel :( =( :[ =[

  • awwwwwwwwww

  • TAKE THE FRICKIN CHERRY

  • their peeping sounds are just so darn cute! X3

  • thumbs up if you love their tweeting sounds X3

  • Cutest little things!

  • Awwwww the blue bird is so cute. I love my childhood memories :)

  • im only 15 now but this was my childhood <3

  • I forgot about this scene entirely, seeing it now just gave me the strongest sense of nostalgia. Most bittersweet moment of the entire film.

  • Who here has more VHSs than DVDs and Blu-rays...?

  • I always thought the way how those baby pterodactyls chirped was just so cute.

  • This is the most adorable thing I've ever seen!

  • @VannahWilson :')

  • I want to give the little blue a hug :}

  • This sequence is so cute, but sad. ;__;

  • SO FUCKING CUTE!

  • I learned from this scene; A few years ago I was going to Japan for the first time, from Canada. I arrived at the airport in narita airport and was waiting to board a train to Tokyo city. But I saw a Japanese girl sitting on a bench in the train station, crying and looking SO sad.

Like this little flyer I had a treat, but for me it was a Canadian teddy bear, red and white in color and with a flag sown to its belly. I did the same thing, I laid it down at her feet and silently offered it to her

  • @Snowman20 She took it and cried harder because she was SO happy. Truth be told... I had brought the teddy bear all the way from Canada for a specific friend in Japan. It was a surprise... but I gave it up to this sad girl, because she looked like she needed it more. Just like the little flyer wanted the cherry, but was willing to give it up to cheer someone else up.

  • @Snowman20 That's so nice! Was she by herself? Did she say anything? Did you ever find out why she was crying?

  • @Snowman20 I got your response (why'd you delete it? :S), that's so nice and cute and stuff! Haha, I thought you were talking about a little girl… But I'm confused, you said she was having to go back to Japan? But weren't you already in Japan, at Narita Airport?

How appropriate that she was sad about leaving Canada and you happened to have a Canadian teddy bear. No wonder she was so happy! I would've been really happy too, that would've made my day! It's nice you did that. :)

  • I wonder how many people actually see and get the message of this scene? So cute but so heartbreaking at the same time. The little flyer obviously notices Littlefoot's sadness so tries giving to help cheer him up... :/ I feel like a fool but it tears me up!!!

  • AT LEAST SAY THANKS BUT NO THANKS!!!!!!!

  • they HAAD to add this in or else kids wouldve kill themselves due to depression

  • I always thought this was the saddest scene as a kid haha

  • Littlefoot so sad he won't even eat the cherry

  • AWWWWW!! I had forgotten about this scene. I love them all!!

Especially the sounds they make. XD

  • This brings back great childhood memories

  • I always loved this scene it is so cute <3

  • that flyer wasn't petrie or was it petrie?

  • aw so sweet

  • I cried. Fucking melancholy.

  • l like to think that the baby Pterodactyl that gives Littlefoot his cherry is Petrie. x3

  • @HammerOfPink but petrie couldn't fly until later

  • @hmnanda

    Hm... that is true...

Although all of the baby fliers in this scene seem to have trouble flying. You'll notice none of them keep themselves in the air for more than a few seconds before they fall down (or grab onto a branch or something).

Also, the mother Pterodactyl looks a lot like Petrie's mom... (shrugs) l dunno it's up to interpretation. x3

  • WE STEELIN' GRAPES

  • awee i watched this movie last night :) brings back such good memories :)

  • Why don't they make movies like this anymore? :( I'm holding onto a VCR and my VHS copy of this movie for the soul purpose of having my kids watch it someday.

  • @keetonbob they do. haven't you heard of pixar? derp.

  • @keetonbob same here? did u know that the original VHS version is worth about $100 and it’ll one day be worth a lot more? I don’t know if I want to sell it or not though, it’s such a great movie and I don’t want my kids to miss it

  • @GothicAthlete Transfer it to a DVD and then sell it.

  • @keetonbob i agree with u, :) they need to make movies like these, movies these days don't seem to hav storylines anymore ToT

  • @keetonbob They actually have it on DVD now, although it's really hard to find. I was lucky enough to find it in the $5 bin at Wal-Mart. :)

  • 0:57-1:28

i always cry at that part, it's just one of the sweetest scenes in the entire movie

  • aw!!! they're so small and cute!!!!

  • those little guys were cute as hell

  • cutest part of the movie XDDD makes me want some cherries... even though I hate eating them the most.
