Pretty on the Inside is okay but nothing special....very hardcore. it's just a little too much of a coincidence that Courtney's song writing ability got that much better and different from the 1st album to Live Through This. I have a feeling that she had a lot of help from Kurt on this album especially after Billy Corgan claimed to have done most of the songwriting on a later album, which Courtney refuted.

@aliaemar22 The change from Bleach to Nevermind is not as drastic as with Pretty on the Inside to Live Through This. I admit they are quite different albums. A lot of that has to do with production. Nevermind was very polished in terms of production. I think that production value plays a much bigger role in the progression of sound. The songwriting is still very similar from Bleach to In Utero while with Hole, it seems every album was written by a different person. I'm kind of a conspiracy nut.

@nosebleed84 Hole's first album was Pretty on the Inside. This is from their second. Pretty on the Inside is okay but nothing special....very hardcore. it's just a little too much of a coincidence that Courtney's song writing ability got that much better and different from the 1st album to Live Through This. I have a feeling that she had a lot of help from Kurt on this album especially after Billy Corgan claimed to have done most of the songwriting on a later album, which Courtney refuted.

@aliaemar22 The change from Bleach to Nevermind is not as drastic as with Pretty on the Inside to Live Through This. I admit they are quite different albums. A lot of that has to do with production. Nevermind was very polished in terms of production. I think that production value plays a much bigger role in the progression of sound. The songwriting is still very similar from Bleach to In Utero while with Hole, it seems every album was written by a different person. I'm kind of a conspiracy nut.
