  • Great job on the time! Very impressive for a 2v GT!!

  • very cool, i was wondering where i stand with my '96 with a '01 s-281 n/a , i have 3.55 gears, are those 4.10 gears way faster?

  • @ugirl2 the 4:10s will get you out of the hole quicker. as far as u stand whats the cars hp, weight, suspension and tire setup? as of right now my car weighs around 3100 without me in it and dynoed 328 to the wheels. my best with drag radials and skinnys is 11.85 @115

  • @mustang281gt03 my s-281 is probably just putting out the 285 hp stock, i havent had a chance to dyno it or drag it down the 1/4, here on long island, there isnt shit to do race wise, closest is your Englishtown where ive been seeing you do high 11's, as soon as spring comes im gonna dyno it, i bought it from a guy who had the s281 professionally put it, on the engine the date is 12/11/01 so im assuming its either a 01 or 02. He told me it was a dohc engine but its clearly a sohc

  • @ugirl2 i havent raced english town since the car has done 11s, only been to lebanon valley with it since it hit 11s, hope ur not confusing me with someone else! but either way i do race at e-town and most likely will be there next year with it!

  • How much hp at the wheel did you have when you went 12.98 ?

  • @gtracer56 i made 281 with just the cams. no mid lengths yet... Now the car is making 328hp 334tq with trick flow heads and full bassani exhaust! i also got a set of 15" wheels for it too and gone a best of 11.85 at 115.. one day ill get that video up!

  • @mustang281gt03 nice..I wanted to know cause i made 275 whp through a auto and wanted to compare and see kinda where i stand. im shooting for 12's

  • You do any weight reduction at all?

  • @anniversarymustang at the time of this pass no. As of now yes i have done a k-member, full ac delete, and rear seat delete. The car also has trickflow heads and a set of drag rims too. The new best to date is 11.85 @115.. I will post the videos of it going 11s as soon as i fix my laptop. Car is still n/a!

  • @mustang281gt03 damn nice i want to see you run 11's. Bet you could be in the low 11's maybe high 10's if you do a good bit of suspension work now. I know a guy with a mutang bulitt that went 12.56 on just suspension work, and maybe a k and n air filter. So doing the suspension next should help out a lot.

  • Im in the market for a mustang for my daily driver. Do you recommend getting a GT and camming it with bolt-ons? or just going for a cobra with exhaust? Because I cant afford getting the DOHC cams for the cobras. lol. Whats your personal input?

  • @burninrock24 well a cobra is going to cost more than a gt unless u plan on getting an older 96 to 98 cobra.. But its all what u want to do. If u cam a gt with boltons it could be as fast as a cobra depending on the level of cams you get but keep in mind you'll loose some drivablity with cams. Again that all depends on the level you go with.. But if your just looking for somethime fun to drive with alittle kick then a cobra would be your best bet.

  • @mustang281gt03 When you say you'll lose driveability with cams, what do you mean by that? How do the cams change the way the car drives? And just as an overall question. Have you been happy with your GT, or would you get a cobra if you had the chance? I am just afraid that if I buy a GT, i will somehow have regrets and want a cobra afterwards.

  • @burninrock24 Depending on the size of the cams you'll have a rough idle, you can experiance cam buck. Which is when you get low in engane rpms and your motor will kinda nock.. kinda hard to explain but you just have to experiance it to know what im talking about. as far as my cams there stage 1 cams and r pretty streetable. i dont experiance to much of what i just discribed. As for me wanting a cobra. yea it would be cool but im building a drag car.. not a daily driver.. go with your gut feelin

  • do you remember about what rpm you shifted at in this video? i have anderson n32 cams and its a full bolt on car other than that and im going to do some suspension work, build a rear end, and buy some wheels and tires for the track. no one thinks my car can run 12s as it is now, but i think it can with a good launch.. without all the stuff i plan on doing in the near future.

  • @1slwgt

I think it was around 6000 rpm. give or take a hundred! You should have no problems getting onto the 12s.. ive got the n22 cams and got there with no suspension and a few bolt ons! With headers and kmember and suspension i got 12.56 as a best for this year which is in my other video.. But im curious about the n32 cams? hows the idle and driveability?? im thinking of upgrading adventually!

  • @mustang281gt03

i have a video of it idling on my page, and also some crappy videos of some races.. i love the way the cams sound! driveability right now is kinda tought cuz i have 3.27 gears still, but im picking up some 4.10 gears next week and also some wheels and tires for the track next weekend! im hoping that will give me atleast a 13.0 pass. id like to see some 12 second passes though!

  • yea fuck that cobalt he got his ass handed to him ,fuckin arrogant cobalt owners they suck

  • awesome job

  • dam dude, good job. i just bought a stock 04 gt. not sure what im gonna do with it yet. i would like 4.10's but im gonna use the car for trips back home (about a 400 mile trip), so im screwed there.

  • well at 60 mph the car is at 2000 rpms, 70 is 2500rpms, with the 4:10s. hope this helps alittle.

  • excellent driving man

  • good job dude! lower temps and some more practice i see a 12.5 in there

  • hell yea, ive got bassani mid lenghts sitting at my house, i'm going to do the k-member with coil overs and throw the mid lenghts in then, 12.5s shouldn't be too hard to get by the end of the year!

  • Which K member you looking at? i want to get the PA racing one.

  • i was going to do d&d motorsport k-member, along with their A arms and coilover kit, going with a full drag setup. The pa one looks good for a drag race setup but if your thinking road race go with the maximum motorsport k-member, there by far the strongest for the street

  • yea i hear the MM one doesnt save much weight though. Im more of a drag racer my self. nothing like the feeling of cutting a 1.6 60 foot!

  • Wow, that's really impressive! Never seen an NA GT do that with so few mods..good job!

  • Great time

    bassani sound realy nice

  • thanks
