Germany was just as christian as the US. Even Hitler was a christian. And of course morality is subjective but you get it naturally. In terms of Iranian sanctions, Russia is NOT the problem. Russia has already said they are open to tougher sanctions. CHINA is the problem. On Obama's recent trip to China, President Hu intentionally made no mention of sanctions.
Also, if Palin cannot present a solution to Afghanistan, the "beef" (as O'reilly put it) is the fact that she labels the Obama administration's continued efforts to produce a viable strategy as "dithering".

Many (if not most) Christians of today would appear like ignorant liberals to the Founders. The Founders were clear about establishing a limited government, based on Biblical principles, which, BTW, is the only basis for a limited government. Your statements about America being established as a secularist nation are misinformed.

Hopefully you understand that puts you in a hopeless position for you have no right to tell anyone that anything is immoral or wrong. They have their truth just as you have yours. A marvelous piece of idiotic thinking. There is a basis of what's wrong or right, but you think about ethics and you speak about them with others. Somebody's mind who's not corrupted with disgusting hate against jews will feel repelled when he's confronted with the pictures of the holocaust. Things like this determine for you what's wrong or right. If no truth is absolute, then its up to the individual or the leadership to determine. Good thing a Christian nation turned out to be the Big Dog. Germany was just as christian as the US. Even Hitler was a christian. And of course morality is subjective but you get it naturally. Most people don't want to kill because they'd feel aweful if they did. Together with your surroundings you form morals and morals are taken up in the laws (for example you get locked up if you murder somebody). It makes no sense claiming these morals are christian since people agreed on these morals long before christianity.

@Gocavs1990 Hitler was a Christian? Christian means 'Christ-follower'. Jesus said that we are his disciples if we do what he said. Please show me in the Bible where Jesus said to murder jews? Show me where Jesus said to destroy people. BTW, Mohammed did say to kill your enemies. A person isn't a farmer because they stand in a barn. A person isn't a Christian because they stand in a church. You are a Christian when you live the teachings of Christ, which Hitler obviously did not.

Govavs, problem is u have absolutely no epistomology for morality at all. Why is something moral? Because u say so? Because the majority say so? That is the recipe for tyranny, which is where secularism always leads. But its all u got! The only other rational is that there is a God in heaven who created everything seen and unseen, including you. He has a will. he has told us what it is. Accord with His will constitutes morality. Without that, u have nothing but ur will. Sorry... doesn't work.

I think I explained this to you earlier and I think only in America people wouldn't understand this. But if you take a look at your bible there's a lot of stories in there people nowadays would consider immoral. People judge these by today's standards, this means people don't really get their morals from the bible at all. As times change, morals change. In the beginning of the 20th century there was for example accepted racism which is nowadays unthinkable.

It is EXACTLY what the Founders wanted to protect us against... the tyranny of the majority. morals change according to the majority, Huh? So, in modern Iraq, bombing innocents is OK. Gocavs, I agree with u. There is a basis for right and wrong, i.e., the Will of Creator God, as revealed in His Word and Incarnated in His Son. Ur problem is that u recognize that morality is a reality, built into humans so to speak. But u can't explain it in a rational way. Every time u try u dig a hole deeper into political correctness and tyranny. The only rationale for ethics and morality is Christianity. It's simple, really. Come to Christ; receive His grace. All becomes clear.

ajmjw4- I couldn't agree with you more. The Founders did not want a Theocracy; but that definitely does not mean they founded a secularist society. Those are not the only two options. The Founders established a Constitutional Republic founded upon Christian principles. John Adams said: Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." By moral and religious, he meant Christian.

As far as leftist marxist politics masquarading as economics: we do look at those when it comes to courses like multidisciplinary approach to economics. My guess is that you have a, which we call in the netherlands, tunnelvision in which you refuse to be open minded and you only approach things from the conservative view.

Oh come on, don't be so ridiculous. Those people may have believed that we were created in some way but they were certainly not all christians. But I know for certain jefferson isn't and also george washington was very critical of religion. Scientists do know how life started, you should read up on that some time. Where it comes from is something different, but does religion in any way tell us where we come from? No.

Your point is absurd. First, secularism is a faith, just as Christianity is. it is a faith in man himself. The founders were clearly not secularists. You confuse their not wanting the church to run the state (a right principle) to mean that they did not want religion to have anything to do with government or public life. the big question in the colonies at the time was: are Americans in general moral enough to govern themselves? "Moral" meant self-governed under the principles of Christianity.

Use of "Creator," "Divine Providence," to refer to the God of the Bible was common because the Founders, like nearly everyone else in America, were so completely imbued with Christianity. U impose ur 20th century mindset onto their world when it was totally foreign to them. For e.g, a judge dismissed a star witness who refused to take an oath on the bible. The judge commented that he had never met anyone, anywhere, who believed like this and the man's testimony was unreliable and inadmissible.
