i absolutely love spanishiwa's play, i've been doing this style now and not only is it much more fun than standard, it's actually more versatile too. i never ever knew how many different roles an infestor can play especially with infested terrans making the tanks kill themselves as well as the awesomely powerful fungal growth. on top of that mass transfuse on spines, ultras, and broods. spanishiwa, you are my hero.

Great zerg replay. That was among the most fluid I've seen. Every zerg replay starts off with them desperately trying to fend off some kind of rush or crippling push, like with the bunkers, but the mass of queens really seemed to help out.

Great casting, diggity, and a great choice for a match. Never seen zerg play like this, it's very interesting and seemed very effective.

I think Dde maybe could have caused some real trouble early on, from 4-6 minutes with some marine attacks. I feel like letting up cost him as Spanishwa kept expanding.

@gentgent1 yeah, zerging is a term that's now used in many games (or sometimes even "zergling rush") and it alludes to the zerg preference for huge armies of relatively weak units, instead of, say, the protoss preference for fewer tougher units

zergling rush more specifically refers to a cheese strategy involving a large number of very early zerglings overwhelming opponents before their economies start rolling... it's sometimes used to describe an unfair all-in strategy requiring little skill

@gentgent1 Yeah, basically in original StarCraft, Zerg units (early game ones) are cheap in cost, and units also represented less food. 2 zerglings = 1 unit of 'food' (200 max), and meanwhile early Protoss units were more expensive, are stronger, and 1 zealot = 2 units of food. So hypothetically you could have 400 zerglings = 200 food, meanwhile 100 zealots = 200 food. Strength in numbers. Zerg was also easiest to replace units as well.

even though i'm a protoss player, and i normally hate zerg, I must say, Spanishiwa is definitely now one of my favorite players. I love that early creep spread, which is soo terrifying to have to deal with. the only thing i have a complaint about is that he didn't replace the creep very fast after he lost some of it in the initial terran attack.

I LOVE this 0 Gas FE build from Spanishiwa. Standard 9 Overlord, 13 Hatch, 15 Pool with Spine Crawlers at your natural + lots of Queens for creep spread/larvae/defense against harass. You can drone up until like 44 and then go all out into countering your opponent. Gives you a very early economical advantage that is hard to attack. Google Spanishiwa's 0 Gas FE and read up all about this awesome build that works well against pretty much any match-up.
