  • still illegal

  • By rule this is a deadball unsportsmanlike flag on the coach.

  • @ronquirk i knew this league. the black team was undefeated/unscored upon the whole season. the coach got to pick the best players before any other coach, leaving the red team with the rest. they just wanted a touchdown to lift their spirits. and anyways the red ended up losing. PS they talked to the ref before they did it

  • I bet your team suck if you have to do that play.

  • Nice job outsmarting a bunch of third graders.

  • wow... awesome

  • @27Footballboy27 This was made in a football movie nearly 38 years ago. I cant remember the name of it. I love it! :D

  • There was another video where they did EXACTLY the same thing.... So aswell as being the worst team-spirited (now making that a word) players i have ever seen. Your coach is also taking credit for something he watched on Youtube....

    Congratulations

  • Im guessing the guy down a few comments who said "that doode has burners" is black. just saying

  • despicable.winning games like pussies. All part of the great loser generation we are raising up. no integrity. This coach should be ashamed of himself.

  • This is disgraceful. If I were on that team I would hand in my equipment and QUIT. Who wants to win games like that? Just unbelievable what has happened to country. No one has an integrity anymore. These are young boys still learning. For a coach to teach this...is DISGRACEFUL and DISGUSTING. Even worse the parents yelling "that a boy!" as if their dumb ass kid just did something great...this has no place in sports.

  • FYI - That play is illegal in youth football. Read the rule book. Verbal deception is not allowed.

  • @c4clan1 he didnt say nothing

  • FYI - That play is illegal in youth football. Read the rule book.

  • Saucy.

  • that doode has burners.

  • the definder completely gave up on the play near the endzone if that was me i would have lit the little kid up

  • While this situation isn’t expressly prohibited by rule, I would have thrown a flag on the play and called it back because it is illegal to do things that circumvent the rules in an unsporting way. That allows a lot of judgment to be in play by the officials. I think every official I know would call this back. Football is really big into the spirit of fair play…and this is not within that spirit.

  • @fbbbbareferee the coaches talked to the refs before the game and told them we were going to do this...its completely legal and anyways the team they were playing got a draft pick in the beginning of the season and were undefeated and never got scored on..

  • @fbbbbareferee you would call that an unsportsmanlike conduct play for snapping the ball, and running down field???? i mean its not liek the defensive players have to be set and cannot move, why dont you call unsportsmanlike conduct on boise state running the statue of liberty play in the fiesta bowl then? why not call a unsportsmanlike on the Tennessee titans miracle play? this is completely within the rules and wihle it may be FROWNED UPON, there is nothing more that you can do then that.

  • I coach football, and I have called this play too. HOWEVER, I only called it when our opponent was running up the score on us. Calling it on the first play of the game is pretty bush-league.

  • lol, a team tried this and we smacked him for a loss, we scouted them and they didnt try it again

  • Not a legal snap. Should have been blown dead immediately. It worked because the officials didn't know the rules.

  • @tube0501 Side snaps are COMPLETELY legal, you idiot

    do you even play football?

  • @troy324 Played 6 years, coached 20 years, officiated 13 years, now an instructor and evaluator of football officials.

Rule 7-2-4 - A snap shall be such that the ball immediately leaves the hand or hands of the snapper and touches a backfield player or the ground before it touches an A lineman. A scrimmage down must start with a legal snap. An illegal snap causes the ball to remain dead.

The snap must be a quick, continuous motion ending with the ball leaving the snapper's hand(s).

  • @tube0501 So your telling me by handing the ball the the QB in ONE MOTION is not going from a set downed lineman to the QB? are you on drugs or is this why the football referees all suck? or both.

it does not say how 'fast' the word "quick" is, therefore going from the ground, to the quarterback in one motion is definitely a legal snap, it does not say it MUST GO BETWEEN ONES LEGS...... jeez, the ball was moved (causing a live play) and in ONE MOTION the ball was given to the QB, live play!

  • @troy324 That was NOT one continuous motion in this play. The snapper picked up the ball, stood up, turned, and handed it to the back. That hasn't been legal for 100 years. Have YOU ever read a rule book? Have you ever read the case book? I never said it had to go between the legs. It has to be one, quick, continuous motion.

  • @tube0501 different leagues, different states, different governing officials, different rulebooks for all of them no?

  • @be9465 Probably not. Most youth leagues use the NFHS (high school) rule book with some modifications. I don't know about MA and TX where they use modified NCAA rules for high school football. That snap would be illegal under NCAA rules as well.

  • @tube0501 it is 9.9.1b i believe, the rule only applies to NFL however, and the NFHS rules ALLOW the side snap (hand off the center used) and DOES NOT call an unsportsmanlike penalty. Completely legal in rec leagues, jr high, and high school too.

  • @SMDforTacos 9.9.1B is not a rule. It is a case book entry (In the NFHS case book.) dealing with unsportsmanlike conduct. The definition of a legal snap is in the rule book - Rule 2-40-2. The snap in this video does not meet the requirements of a legal snap. A side snap is legal IF it meets the requirements of 2-40-2. This one does not.

  • @tube0501 it clearly left the snappers hands, into the QB's, and the play had begun.

to say the play was "bush league" i completely agree with, but a Win is a Win, and there is no asterisk by that TD scored, so it was a GREAT play call

  • @troy324 Another rule citation for you. Rule 2-40-2 The snap begins when the snapper first moves the ball legally other than in adjustment. In a snap, the movement must be a quick and continuous BACKWARD motion of the ball during which the ball immediately leaves the hand(s) of the snapper and touches a back or the ground before it touches an A lineman.

  • @troy324 Finally 9.9.1 Situation B in the Case Book. COMMENT: Football has been and always will be a game of deception..... However, actions or verbiage designed to confuse the defense into believing there is a problem and a snap is not imminent is beyond the scope of sportsmanship and is illegal.

  • LAME! I coach kids and I would call this a cheap play that shouldn't be taught regardless of the "circumstances" behind draft picks and whatever excuse you have for it. I coach my kids to light the qb up if they ever see this and now that's a thing of beauty when it happens.

  • @ctn60841 ur stupid. do what it takes to win as long as its within the rules of the game

  • I wuz on that team and the reason we did that play wuz because they got a draft pick in the beggining of the season along with another team and my team didn't. So it ws like playing an all-star team so we just had to b smart =)

  • i cant believe the coachs would do that , thats fucking rediculous .

play fair or dont play at all , i cant imagine how upset the other teams parents and coachs would be .... terrible.

  • What the hell is wrong with you guys? It's called trickery they are amazing plays and just because you guys can't come up with any plays like this you critisize... bitches!

  • not to be negative but y do they all have different pants? very unofficial

  • @laxplaya53015 Hey Einstein, I was on that team and thats why It's called YOUTH football. And you would be staring at their pants

  • dude my team won a championship and we r youth and we have matching everything. just saying not trying to be mean but everyone has grey pants and then the qb has black?

  • pff unsportsmanlike conduct? once ur on the line it's fair game. If I'm boxing in the ring and the round starts, I'm not gonna tell my opponent hey I'm gonna pump one then hook at you... get real. That was a good play, gg

  • You shouldn't get 6 points for those kind of plays. You should get 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct.

  • I hate to hear the parents in the stand cheering this crap on....I 'm all for a good gadget play...but this is just cheap crap. We shouldn't be teaching our kids this stuff...weak

  • @sevi555 shocking ey.

  • your team sucks. U rely on cheap tricks

  • wut were u on the team they used that on u saw one play u dont know that coulda been the first trick play they ever did

  • ofensive line is not set That a penalty!

  • I'm pretty sure the offensive line doesn't have to be in 3 point stance or anything like that to "technically" be set

  • hahah. learn the rules. they were on the line. they don't have to be in a three point stance to be set

  • @thespacecowboy020 u can be in a two point stance as long as their is one person down witch was the center but i dnt know how the hell they got wasy with this

  • lol

  • u can side snap

  • if that EVER happened in pro football, someones gonna get cranked.

  • it would never happen anyway. I wouldnt work in pro football, the players are a little more smarter

  • And faster.

  • ya a little smarter than u too u dont say more smarter

  • Oh lord that is dirty. Good imagination though.

  • haha no its called a side snap its a legal play

  • i looked its not a corect snap

  • that shouldnt count cause the ball wasnt snapped

  • who is fowardist im in the other vid im not tough?

  • he was repling 2 what i said u dumf

  • its a side snap nothing wrong with this play it just makes the other team pissed off as all hell lol

  • the center is allowed to pick the ball up n hand it off to his left side. so its considered as a snap

  • I love this play! shame ur not allowed to do it anymore.

It would be funny if there actually was a problem with the ball and the quarterback gets hammered when he is walking to the sideline.

  • lmfao, I would LOVE to see a vid of that.

  • no its not scumm bag football , that play as dirty as it is , is an absolutelybrilliant play

  • ummm, false start on QB...

  • false start on QB? thats does not make sense........its called a slient snap

  • all 11 players must be set for 1 second before anyone can go in motion. QB never got set AND he was moving or "in motion" towards the LOS @the snap. Lastly the "wrong ball" play is illegal in HS (rulle 9.9.3) anyway which is what 99% of all youth play.

  • ok.....but the refs knew about it b4 the game.....we talked with them they said it was alright........anyways in the end they beat us .........they were undefeated and we were the only team in the regular season that scored a touchdown against them...

  • fuck u

  • dude its a game...

  • It's also a way to get a QB hurt. Because any team that is coached right would now it's a live play and would crush the kid.

  • Coach's that do play's like this have no reason coaching. They don't know how to coach thats why they do plays like this. I've coached youth football for 4 fours have a record of 25-5 3 championships and would never run a play like this against a team..it's bush

  • agreed, its scum bag football

    play it right.

  • hey samveal we actually outsmarted the coach to take a better look at the video and lke you could come up with better plays!

  • im on the bucs to im the kid in the other video the bucs were good and we didnt win against the falcons but we put up a great fight

  • Congratulations coach, on outsmarting a group of kids.

  • shut up, the team that they were playing were undefeated, anyways the red team didnt even win!cut him some slack

  • it was a good idea wasn't it?

  • the coach actually found out about this play on youtube..

  • I think the coach, I was just taping my son and had no idea what was going on.

  • im not sam???im on the bucs u retard...who the hell is sam?

  • Awesome..I'm gonna try it with my team this weekend. We'll see if it works...

  • @TxFisherman3 You are a shit coach. The football gods will frown on you, and we all know what they are capable of... Injuries.

  • yeah cris!!!
