@cjuarez2011 The Texas Echelon aren't all that great. :/ From MY experience. Kinda sucks, considering I'm a devoted Echelon that lives in Texas. I don't blame them for not coming to Texas much. The audience is usually not as alive as the others 'cause in Texas there's just fans, not dedicated Echelon. The energy's different.

that was their motto when they were doing the album according to tomo himself. so for those people wondering why the music is so different its coz they dont want to do the same stuff over and over like other singer/bands (dont wanna mention names). but those who are saying its the 1st and 2nd album mixed together i agree with u halfway.

I'd have to say this is their best album. Right after hearing it it went on my list for top 5 favorite albums, and went to my favorite album of 2009.

Also I find the hurricane version with kanye to be significantly better. He adds these subtleties that just improve the song dramatically. And this is coming from someone who hates most of kanye's music, and kanye's style in general.

Plus jared's voice is amazing on the album.

Oh will you all just shut up. The first album was very mixed like Capricorn & heavy guitars in Fallen. The second album had some amazing tunes & lyrics. I'll be the first to admit they could have done some things differently on This Is War, but some of the songs are amazing like this one, This Is War, Hurricane (W/O KANYE) & Kings and Queens, I think this album is the first and second put together & is awesome, your never going to like EVERY song, so if you a fan, bite your tongue & get over it!

This is the only song I like off the new album...oh well. That'll teach me to buy cds, cause thats one product U can't take back if it sounds like ass. Lesson for today = download ur music kids, that way when a band sells out you can just move the files to the recycling bin and press empty.

I did give it a chance. Sorry, this is not the same band that wrote capricorn and edge of the earth...they are completely different now and suck imho. There aren't even any guitars BARELY on the new album, don't see how they could do what but w\e.

Why would you expect them to continue to make the same music as Capricorn and stuff. They want to evolve as a band and try different stuff. Some of their influences have always been more electronic bands like Depeche Mode and M83.
