  • Id Lick it!

  • I have had every mole removed by the good old fashioned scalpel. It doesnt hurt at all and is scarless, so I am not sure of the point in this technique. Although it looks really good fun.

  • @DBR00 this is in Englad. We have the NHS here, so if the mole looks like it has the slightest chance of being dangerous, rather than it just being for cosmetic reasons, you wont have to pay for it.

  • unless your treated by the NHS

  • The mole looked like his nipple. I am just saying that's all.

  • @ Dazubegener,

  • If you go to your doctor in the uk and mention the mole, that it is catching on clothes, or causing annoyance they will remove it free of charge....

  • Crazy!!! £300????????????? I got the SAME thing (painless, bloodless, i dunno abt scarless cos i just got it done...) done in India, for Rs.400.....thats abt $8 or £5...

  • sniff....sniff....I think I smell something burning

  • i got this done it was only like 20 dollars

  • And what happens to the discoloration of the skin after the removal? It seems to me like the mole was removed by there is still discoloration. (Which to me, is the same thing as scarring.)

  • Ever get a cut? Clear the blood out? There's some discoloration. Just the bottom of the skin. Once the scab has formed skin is able to form over the mole. Just like a cut

  • All patient have a FULL MEDICAL HISTORY and EXAMINATION. Lesion are SCANNED with DERMOSCOPE. All lesion are sent for HISTOLOGY.

  • I'm curious...how can you be so sure you didn't fry off a malignant melanoma, which would need a totally different treatment?

When would you do an excisional biopsy?

Do not construe the above as medical advice. It's not medical advice. I'm just trying to learn.
