@lvw100 Uh...Jardine WAS the original Super Destroyer...based in the Mid Atlantic region in the mid-late 70's. Scott Irwin took over the name when Jardine changed his name from Super Destroyer to Spoiler when going to the Florida region...
thats one thing ive never seen in my years of watching wrestling. ive seen wrestlers unmasked by betting matches but they dont take it off till the end of the match. ive always wanted to see a wrestler get his mask ripped off in the middle of a fight.
Al Jardine by far was the BEST Super Destroyer. Jardine was a talented guy, and very agile for a big man. First big man to walk the ropes I believe.....decades before the Undertaker did it.
Any of you remember when 'Madman' Sonny Myers I think it was, piledrived - some dude who's names escapes me - off the ring apron to the concrete floor, lol?
Good memories, I watched All Star wrestling every Saturday afternoon in the early to mid 80's in Ontario. I remember this match well, what a flashback!
Super Destroyer is my friends husband in BC. He passed on a couple yrs ago but was just an awesome guy His life was to short . Bless her and Candis and James
@AngelofAnguish The sad truth is that TNA ain't much better than WWE. The indies are the only place right now (at least outside of Japan, the UK, and Mexico) where you would see REAL pro wrestling
Sgt. Slaughter was the Super D II in the AWA, this Super D was a local guy named Elton Stanton. BTW, this promotion was Al Tomko's All-Star Wrestling in Vancouver British Columbia Canada.
brett hart called elton stanton a bottom guy. tomko was over 50 here but at least he got in the ring to avoid paying anybody else.

Give me THIS kind of wrestling anytime or day! To hell with the current sugar-coated, teeny-bopper sh*t called the WWE!
