Cletus, your belief may be heartening, but it is unfounded. Math can't "help us unlock all the secrets of the universe" because it isn't self consistent, i.e., you can find unprovable mathematical expressions (that may be true). Gödel's Theorem was quite a blow to the invincibility of mathematics.
Of course, that is no reason to quit researching mathematics.
This stuff sounds interesting, although I don't quite grasp it fully. don't get discouraged just cause most people aren't into this stuff, cause MATH IS GOD, will help us unlock all the secrets of the universe! (lol sounds corny, but i believe it to be true.)

Math is self-consistent, but it isn't complete. The idea behing Godel's proof is that math can't be Both consistent and complete.
