  • Happy Birthday E.S <3

  • Today is My birthday and My name is Lisa ! :D

  • @hejhejleverpastej91 Oh happy birthday !!!! :)

  • today is my birthday and nobody says happy birthday to me so i hear that song T_T FML

  • when i was a kid my brother sang this song to me on my birthday lol

  • its funny because MJ was NEVER on the simpsons

  • @sesrunner08 Yes, he was. But he was credited as John Jay Smith.

On the commentary they said, he did all the dialogue, but he actually requested that an impersonator sing the song. Thats why it doesnt quite sound like MJ. He did it as a prank to his family and friends, to see if they would know it was him.

  • Angry Grandpa brought me here :')

  • my name is leon kompowski, all my life i was very angry

  • was it really Michael ?

  • @RainingInMyHouse awwwwwww :) that is so sweet, i wish my big brother was that nice :p

  • I found out last year that this episode came out the day I was born, 9/19/91. Was always one of my favorite episodes as a kid.

  • psssst?!thats just totally weird!they prbably used an app to make the song!!

  • Family Guy has cheap laughs, Simpsons has warmth and intelligent comedy.

  • @farhannius16 not anymore!

  • So glad my sisters name is Lucy. <3

  • My big brother came into my maths classroom on my 15th birthday, emptied the bin, used it as a drum and sang this to me in front of my whole class. I love my big brother :')

  • Wasn´t it actully Kipp Lennon singing?

  • @MrChrisJHull yeah came and ruined everything. Family Guy is so repetitive. Funny in parts but very repetitive.

  • @RyZombie619 And The Simpsons is so fresh? Look at every episode. Each one revolves around a lesson to be learnt and the humour is so dry and clean, it sucks. The only really good Simpson episodes are the halloween specials.

  • @MrChrisJHull well it is not fresh right now, but I'd still take Simpsons over Family Guy any day. Simpsons had depth to it, it could make you laugh, cry and think, Family Guy only makes you chuckle.

  • @RyZombie619 The simpsons made you cry?

  • @SnowDog0 there were scenes in the Simpsons that were touching, not like sad sad, but I find that the relationship between Marge and Homer is very touching, as is the relationship between Bart and Lisa. I felt sorry for Ned when Maude was killed, I felt sorry for Millhouse when his parents got divorced, or felt bad for Lisa when Bleeding Gums died, Simpsons has a way of making you feel emotional because the characters they create are very in depth, Family Guy does not do that at all.

  • @SnowDog0 Peter and Lois have a retarded relationship. One minute they can be laughing, the next minute Pete is trying to choke her or beat her up. There is no emotional attachment, same with South Park, they don't create the same attachments to their characters that Simpsons does. It's easier to feel sorry or happy for Simpsons characters than it is for Family Guy or South Park characters.

  • @MrChrisJHull idiot.......

  • @12345678weeds Yeah because The Simpsons isn't idiotic. No one fucking watches The Simpsons anymore, it fucking sucks.

  • it was michael

  • @dbier1990

Seriously, if you're about to turn 18 you were born in 1994... this aired in 1991.

  • @MrHuung I was born in 1993, however I was able to see this episode back in the late 90s, think before you judge another fan.

  • Homer has chest hair :O?

  • God this brings back Memories

  • fucking love the simpsons songs simple and brilliant

  • dddddd++

  • If anyone read the book "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest"

then this episode would be funnier and much comprehensible than it is.

  • Tunin' lil song, fo'sho'Doh!

  • I love this song~Once,I went to the place in the summer and the leader people put the Simpsons on. Then, almost everyday of that summer thing, we would watch the Simpsons and sing this~

  • I actually sung this to my sister on her birthday.

  • hey whenangelmeetstar is your bithday 16 th dec like a mine and what year is it 1997

  • @4983gu What?

  • Michael Jackson is the best artist ever

  • It's Kipp Lennon. "Lennon has contributed to several episodes of The Simpsons: in the episode "Stark Raving Dad", although Michael Jackson (credited as "John Jay Smith") performed the speaking part of Leon Kompowski, a character who pretended he was Michael Jackson, Lennon sang the songs because Jackson wanted to play a joke on his brothers and fool them into thinking the impersonator was him. He sang the song "Lisa, It's Your Birthday," written by Jackson within the episode." (Wikipedia)

  • Michael pretty much wanted a voice impersonator for his own amusement. At least that's what the DVD commentary says. I doubt it has anything to do with his record label.

  • im called lisa!!

  • is good beatifull

  • Memories

  • i love his voice

  • why no has video

  • @MellowChords It would get removed. There's a website where you can watch the full episode for free. It's pretty good.

  • i like how the white guy claiming to be mike gots a sailor tatto

  • Michael may not have sang this song, but the guy who did, is still a pretty damn good singer

  • @TheBradyrulez Kipp Lennon

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBradyrulez it was Kipp Lennon :)

  • @TheBradyrulez he did sing this song

  • Todo un clasico T_T

  • micheal didn't sing the episode, but did do a recording for the album

  • aww :)

  • im gonna call my daughter lisa just so i can sing this on her birthday

  • @HoodedSuperman My dad nearly played this every time it was my birthday.. yeah.. my name is lisa xD really.. Now I'm playing it myself on my birthday.. instantly makes me smile =D

  • @WhenAngelMeetStar wow! you are such a cool person :D!!!!!

  • @HoodedSuperman You do realise you could fit many different names into this song?

  • @Bigupdagunners thatkinda ruins the whole essence of the song though

  • @HoodedSuperman If I ever have a daughter, I'm right there with you.

  • Why listen to the FAKE VOICE OF MJ WHEN YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE ORIGINAL MJ - ITS RIGHT THERE ON THE RIGHT SIDE UNDER ORIGINAL MICHAEL JACKSON'S (real voice) LISA ITS MY BIRTHDAY (THE SIMPSON) its sooooo much better.

  • cool

  • stupid rick rollers

  • MY FRIENDS SING THIS TO ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY ITS AMAZING

  • Michael was the voice actor but his label didn't let him sing

  • Comment removed

  • @ryanmighty117 dw i just read tht he was only contracted to speak not to sing

  • @JordanT111596 Wrong it was a joke Michael wanted to play on his brothers so they hired Kipp Lennon, chosen by MJ.

  • @JordanT111596 stupid label now I can only wonder how it would sound if he sang it.

  • @myfiles661 watch?v=oOLSNwqU_mY&feature=related - apparently this is the real him singing it : )

  • @JordanT111596 Not true Michael wanted to fool his brothers into thinking it was him. Because he did sing it but it wasn't featured due to Michael wanting to joke. LUV U MICHAEL R.I.P.

  • @JordanT111596 There's an actual version where he sings the song.

  • @JordanT111596 No, it's cited that he just wanted to mess with his brothers, so he got an impersonator to do ONLY the singing.

  • @JordanT111596 fuck sony

  • new simpsons allowed themselves to be influenced by family guy, lazy writing, shame on them!

  • what episode?

  • @Paigey71257 If I'm not mistaken, it is season 3 the first episode.

  • wheres the memorable songs?

wheres the witty commentary of modern culture?

    wheres the humanity?

New Simpsons Suck. 90s Simpsons will always be the best.

  • Trivia: Michael Jackson did the speaking voice. To pull a joke on his brothers, a sing alike was used. To avoid contract bullshit, he wasn't credited for the speaking voice until later.

  • i can't believe this episode is 20 years old!

  • Kip Lennon was the singing voice of michael in this episode, because michael wanted to play a trick on his brothers, while michael used his own voice for the speaking role

  • naaaaw :)

  • My name is Lisa. And it is my birthday xD

  • @MissSunShineTastic Happy Birthday, Lisa. :)

  • Trop <3 I Love <3

  • You know that wasn't michael jackson singing that right?

  • @bckwrdsmn actually it was michael singing, but because of his contract at the time he wasn't allowed to be mentioned in the credits

  • im in that part of the internet again..

  • @HippoLesb toxicjunction(dot)com ---> gruesome ..... there ya go!

  • R.I.P. michael jackson

  • first time i saw this and they said it was michael jackson i was like... WHAT THE FUCK.. THATS ONE FUCKING UGLY FAT SHIT INTERPRETATION OF PEDO MAN ><

  • Michael didnt sing this song apparently but Wiki is full of shit who knows

  • I love old Simpsons, so much better than family guy.

  • was michael actually providing his own voice on this episode?

  • @eiroight Apparently, he did, but he used a covername in the credits.

  • @leothewhiteranger yeah you're right, i searched it a bit and found this on the net. " Due to contractual obligations, they were unable to give an on-screen credit to Jackson. Instead, the show credited the voice to John Jay Smith, another person that doesn't exist."

  • @eiroight

he used his own speaking voice but was credited to the name John Jay Smith due to problems with a contract Michael Jackson was stuck too. The singing voice used here is from a MJ impersonist named Kipp something or other :)

  • simpsons are great, they are soo funny but they are also so sweet, not like family guy for example

    simpsons forever!!

  • ooooooooo

  • oooooooooooooooo lisa

  • tooooooooooo sweeeett

  • Absolutely love this episode.

  • The greatest episode of the Simpsons!

    Thumbs up if you agree!

  • Comment removed

  • @SirMrJames Well, even if he didn't, I remember hearing on the dvd commentary that he wrote it. In fact, I think on one of his albums there was a track (or seceret track) with him singing it.

  • @SMKears519 yea, mj doesnt sing this, but he did write the song. he only did the voicing on the simpsons. Sony woudnt allow him to sing, but you can find his actual version singing it on youtube

  • @SMKears519 That's true, there is a version of him singing it, but all the snging parts in this episode was a white man.

  • <3!

  • Michael didn't actually sing this.

  • @SirMrJames Michael Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009, deceased) was a singer who guest starred on The Simpsons in the episode "Stark Raving Dad." He performed the speaking voice of Leon Kompowsky under the pseudonym John Jay Smith. Jackson was a fan of the show[1] and called Matt Groening one night and offered to do a guest spot.

  • @illdieyoung I know, but he didn't do the singing roles.

A white man did the singing roles for him, because, as stated by the man himself.

"It's a joke with my brothers"

  • @SirMrJames

In MY mind he did! :D

  • @SirMrJames Would've been tight if he did tho.

  • @cardcityrocker um you do know there is a version where he does sing it... just not in this episode.

  • @SirMrJames LIER

  • @murdock2k8 No SirMrJames is right, Mike didn't record the song because he wanted to prank his brothers. He did however voice the character's lines in the episode, but the song was sung by Kipp Lennon. All this info can be found on Simpsons Wiki, under Michael Jackson.

  • @SirMrJames You destroyed my whole world!!!

  • @Beefcakes155 if it makes u feel better they didnt let him put it on the show but it was already recorded with michael actually sing here search Michael Jackson Sings "Lisa It's Your Birthday" it should be the first one

  • @redarmyturk3 thanks!

  • @Beefcakes155 Sorry, i'll go kill myself.

  • @SirMrJames thanks

  • @DE51SUN18

sorry, why? i don' t understand..

  • This kinda remind of me of my shiny teeeth and me.

  • You're missunderstanding it, Michael jackson voiced that character, but he didn't make the signing voice due to a contratc thing. It was another guy

  • @TheHappySelf Can you source your info plz?
