Why do people race cars against high-performance turbine aircraft, when the aircraft is in its ground-roll just before rotation?
Folks, that jet was an L-39 Albatross. It uses the Ivchenko AI-25TL twin-shaft mid-bypass turbofan engine, which produces a whopping 3,800lbs of thrust.
Even with a max-TO-thrust, full-break-hold release on the numbers, it still has to push the L-39's 9,585lbs (not assuming MTOW) of the line. That's a TWR of less than 0.5, hardly enough to beat a Veyron at 1/4mi.
