  • it sounds like a huge fart.

  • noise... but sounds something ;ike tha strange noises around the world... also kind of boring to me.

  • this is the future

  • @its2in0the1numbers1

Nah, my friend, this is the past :)

  • Come wit it now!

lol... sounds like "Bulls On Parade" intro by Rage Against The Machine

  • Thank you for this piece

  • Good vibe!! thanks

  • i never really understood the digeridoo, some guy just decided to blow his heart out on a peice of carved wood?and went "hey we have music!" but this guy sounds cool :)

  • I am totally feeling this, insane work man

  • Bravo!

  • that's a big didge!

  • this is amazing!

  • damn, im diggin that stylw

  • @munky40903805 style

  • haha, iss good to hear that rythem played. i noticed it completely. i got that tranzmission from jeremy that same year. we musta been sittin in that circle together. coolcool. nice playing dude. quick style. i also really benefitted from ondre's workshop as well. thanks for yo werks. keep it up

  • @didjmedicine tx much, that was indeed a great workshop with Jeremy. I've also taken a few workshops with Ondrej Smeykal, Stephen Kent, and a few other pro players, always great to be able to learn from these great performers and teachers.

  • ...Uncle Dan? When did you get a didgeridoo?

  • how do you do that with out an air break?

  • @WickedSh1T359 Circular Breathing... do a google search for "Circular Breathing Didgeridoo Store", they have a page dedicated to various methods to learn the technique.

  • how much do one of those cost?

  • @TasteForDisaster $400-$800 for a hand-crafted musical instrument, there are several crafters in the USA and around the world that produce excellent instruments. Keep in mind these are not "authentic" termite hollowed didgeridoos from Australia. More more information and to see different styles of instruments available, check out the didgeridoostore or LAoutback websites online.

  • wow thats a cool didgeridoo

  • im i the only on that thinks that this sounds like the opening to Rage Against the Machine's "Bulls on Parade"? great playing and awesome looking didgeridoo also.

  • @justoian yeah now that u said it ... !

  • @justoian i was just about to say that

  • this is siiick!!!! hahah

  • Is it just me or does that kinda sound like the beginning of bulls on parade from rage against the machines?

  • would this be a good instrument to annoy the neighbors with?

  • @R3zD0g Not really... an electric guitar hooked up to a big, honkin' 300 watt amplifier turned up as loud as possible should do the trick, though.

  • @clarinetcat HEE HEE yeah that could do the trick!!!! :)

  • @R3zD0g ha hahahah I was just thinking that about my djembe

  • What is that made out of,.?

  • @nikkifinley Wood... Alder. the trunk of a tree. The root system forms the bell of the didgeridoo.

  • suena genialllllllllll!

    :DDD

  • Woah, I can see the bell (Sax term, does it apply here too?) vibrating! :D

  • Is it one of Bens aspens ?

  • @driftwoodbeech Yes, it was purchased directly from Ben, and I believe it is Aspen.

  • wow! that looks like it could go llooow :) how long have you bin playing ? that's pretty awesome !

  • @zombiez23457 Actually, it is a relatively high didge, about an F. I've been playing for over 10 years now, glad you enjoyed the video.

  • @clarinetcat oh very cool! iv only bin playing for almost 3ish years now, I have a semi cheap one. i really like didgeridoos with those crazy ends like that.. Thanks for the reply!

  • ratm on a didge??? com wit it now

  • That is a very beautiful didge!

  • No, not elephant tusk. Dragon horn!

  • insane looking didge but your playing did nothing for me, sorry mate

  • how did i end up here after watching video game reviews!!!... damn you youtube!!

  • How did u pull the Root out of the Ground?

  • @borisburkhart I did not make the instrument, it was hand-crafted by Ben Hicks of HicksSticks

  • sound Bad man!

  • Strikingly beautiful didgeridoo. And very nice playing.

    Keep on didgin'!

  • that is one bad ass didj you got there man.

  • COME WITH IT NOW!

    (RATM)

  • is that an elephant tusk?!

  • @jgto17 No, not an elephant tusk... it is a curved tree trunk with the root system as the bell, split and hollow didge crafted by Ben Hicks of HicksSticks

  • @jgto17 lol elephant tusk wtf?

  • now thats a didge lol

  • sounds like a fart remix

  • @Dreamtch9

man you are in serious trouble!

you must see a doctor straight away ( if your farts sound like the didgeridoo!)

  • thats one beautiful didgeridoo

  • Sehr gut!

  • @ThisliHechtli Vielen dank!

  • Did you learned this rhythm by Ash Dargan ?

I have learned the basic rhythm by him in 2007 - it is very very cool.

    Kind regards

    Søren

  • @IPlayDidgeridoo Jeremy Donovan shared "Cassowary" with students at a workshop during the 2007 JT Festival...

  • @clarinetcat Cool - thank you - it is really a cool rhythm, and you are playing it very very talented - great work :)

    Kind regards

    Søren

  • i also want such a great didg maaaaan !

  • most beautiful didge ever

  • what sort of timber is it?

    from australia or not?

  • @Cre8iveSignWorks Alder I believe, but I am not 100% positive. Made by Ben Hicks at hickssticks

  • Very impressive. Soooooo cool.

  • Absolutely amazing!! Wonderful

  • He put a rap twist to it!

    The brothas will love it!!

    Beat box much bro?

  • i have a 50 year old didge painted by hellen hardy from larakia in nt

  • hey.. what would somthing like that cost cheep? lol this has gotten me intorest lol! 5/5! man great playing!

  • @tractorboy8420 in it's simplest form, a didgeridoo is nothing more than a hollow tube. An inexpensive beginner "kit" may be found on the didgeridoostore website, including a plastic instrument with washable, removable rubber mouthpiece, a storage bag, a small brochure, and an instructional audio and computer instructional mini disc. All for about $30.

  • What did that horn come off of?

  • @angelzeigler - Horn from a Giant Wooly Mammoth...

Just kidding, it's a curved tree with the root system as the bell.

  • @clarinetcat talk about the most expensive peice of ivry in the world haha!! and thanks so much on the info you gave me! i cant find the comment for some reason so i am just rseponding here... thanks agian!!

  • I think that´s bloddy awesome! Too bad it wont fit in the suitcase! What species of tree?

  • Possibly Alder, but I'm not really certain...

Made by Ben Hicks of HicksSticks

    Thanks for watching!

  • prolly the most Awesome-looking dij i've ever seen...and ive been playing 17 years now! Gratz!

  • awesome, sounds like subwoofers in a car!

  • not the best sounding didgeridoo

  • wat a fucked up didge

  • looks like horn from a dinosaur

  • the last minute is surreal. beautiful sound awesome performance

  • It is probably the most funny didge I have seen. Graceful shape, very nice one.

I am really impressed and inspired !

What kind of wood it is made from?

    Happy didging! :-)

  • what the fuck is he doing?

  • Looks like you are new to YouTube as you just joined a week ago...

If you haven't already, please read the entire description found to the right of the video, listen to the entire performance, and then ask me again what I'm doing if you still don't understand.

  • wow watch your words! BTW: this is totaly cool! although the cat doesnt come in for a while, its still a creative beat and i type to it! coolio

  • it looks like a Huge tusk...nice Didge But wouldnt it affect the sound having a heavy opening? or is it just designed to sound that way. I know they have different measures depending on size and shape.

  • The "flare" and overall shape of the bell does have an effect on sound and volume levels... this happens to be the largest bell I have on any of my didges.

  • The bird was just hanging out, then it noticed it was stalked!. It started to make a run for it, warning all in sight..The enemy was approaching fast, and the Cassowary was getting weary.... :P :P

  • that is the coolest looking didge ever!!

  • that was awsome that digerdoo is mad where did u get it from

  • Ben Hicks at Hicks Sticks...

Ben is extremely knowledgable, and is a fine player and didge crafter. Contact him via email or phone for more information about his instruments.

  • that was really cool.

  • thats awesome sounds like bulls on parade

  • that is 1 nice didg you got there bro realy nice let me ques a handmade didg

  • What a gnarly didge. Good playing. Very good.

  • RIIIIIIICOLA

  • hahaha!

  • jaki ziom o matulu moja hehe

  • GOOD JOB WILSON!

  • very nice rythmn, love the watermelon seed toots, almost had jakes rasty little finish that he does near the end there. I hear those buggers can vibrate their heads to form a subsonic pulse to warn you off, but i imagine just the sight of one staring you down is warning enough.

  • I want your didjeridoo! :-P

  • Nice jam CCat!! Love that Hicks Sticks!!

    PrimalWinds

  • nice one buddy!

    pretty stick too!

  • Nice CCat! You were really rockin' there towards the end :). I remember that night at JT where you just went crazy with this rhythm. I was down by the campsite and heard someone playing and knew it was you just by the rhythm you were playing :D

  • That Hick Stick is awsome! Great playing!

  • very nicely played indeed! ... viz cassowaries, I saw two feral specimens up close ... closer than was safe, last week walking along a path in the daintree national park in far north queensland ... one a juvenile, sex indeterminate ... and one a VERY large and angry male ... the guide was SCARED ****less ... these things are as large as a man and have killed people ... also, just fyi there are 3 varieties of cassowary, only 1 of which is found in australia (all 3 are found in new guinea) ...

  • Thank you! Interesting story about your close encounter with the birds, and thank you for clarifying exactly where these birds are found. :)
