I am searching and have discovered the Wiccans. From what I have found out about them it seems I have found my place. It would be very helpful if someone who has been practicing for a while could set me in the right direction. Please message me. Blessed be.
i personally blame the catholic church who saw the horned god as satan and the pentical as satans symbol. The only reason they did this was to defame the religion. im pagan and i am proud of it!

She claimed to be a Mother Goddess of the Left Hand Path. Then she escaped and has been breaking down her 'conditioning'. Her account was further publicized by David Icke. that's where a lot of those ideas come from i think.
From knowledge and understanding, that from death and decay springs life and renewal, so the reverence of the 'natural' is born and the cycle of nature is supreme.
The pentagram is used as a Christian symbol for the five senses, Medieval Christians believed that the "pentalpha" symbolizes the five wounds of Christ. The pentagram was believed to protect against demons.
Zsuzsanna Budapest A Priestess of the Dianic Witches wrote the chant 'We all come from the Goddess' wich is used in this chant. She has written beautiful books such as Grandmother moon, well worth a read

I am sorry to hear this from you. Find your inner strength, for I was raised pagan and just as tormented growing up. Grant those who tease you the gift of wisdom and understanding....because people fear that which they know nothing of.

@AngelofDeath553 Hi. Glad you're interested. The first thing you might do is read about the Pagan/Wicca religion. In most bookstores there's a section called "New Age" and that's where you can begin. Your local library may or may not have books about Wicca. I recommend introductory books by Scott Cunningham and a book called "The Spiral Dance" by Starhawk. If you feel a connection to the Goddess, you're already part of Wicca. No one has to do anything to you. Blessed be.

All you Christians: Think about it in this way if you must be closed minded. In the Bible it says to spread your word throughout the nations. Missionaries go to other countries to not only spread the word but to also learn about the people who they are visiting. You can't complain unless you truly understand what you're complaining about. I'm a Christian and I'm all for Wicca. In my opinion, to each his own.
i recently started studuying wicca bout a year ago and found that i agree and enjoy it more than catholicism. I disagred with too many things at my church then i found wicca or rather it found me since then i have been buying books so i could better orientate my self bout it values and teachings. I am currently a solitary practicioner and wouldn't mind getting help or joining a coven. I admitt that i may be doing things wrong and could use any help i could get.
@SemperOkami Your not doing anything wrong, as long as you follow the law of three, the rest will come to you. When I first started it was hard for me to know whether I was doing everything right, but I followed my instincts, and I did just fine. Wicca is a very personal religion, and many witches do things quite a bit differently than others. There are as many ways to cast a circle as there are wiccans.

i think it is closed-minded that some ppl think wicca is for woman only... wicca is the only religion with a female goddess and a male god and that is the reason that the islam and christian church doesn't like paganism cus they believe the church/mosque, that say's the is no female goddess, the church started to undermine woman and they placed the woman in a lower class while w need the woman to create life...

I'm a male and I was attracted to Wicca simply because of the Goddess aspect. I just like the idea of there being a Goddess sort of like a mother and it puts me more at ease then worshiping a God, probably because my father was never really present in my life so I've more an attachment to my mother and grandmother.

Wicca is NOT a "womens' religion." It's an everybody religion. Wicca was founded by a man, and there is both a God AND a Goddess....not just one or the other. There are a lot of women in Wicca, because they're seen as equals (unlike many Christian denominations) but it definitely doesn't mean they're more important.
I am a girl in training of Wicca, and my mother and father have told me due to my many de ja vu's that it is one of my gifts. Each time I sing this song, it makes me feel as though I am connected to the Goddess and God. (Excuse the name, I couldn't think of anything...)
Nice, also, hatfull words are wasted breath in my opion, I'm a chirsin, but not closed minded. No matter what, hate is wasted breath and life in this world.

@14nymphadora I don't believe there exists any god who does things like that. And if there were such an entity, it wouldn't deserve your adoration or fear. The gods are not there to demand your obedience and punish you if you stray from their vague rules. They are there only to guide you if you call on them to do so.
I love that we are able to converse and comment about this song. However, I also believe that we need to respect one anothers beliefs about male and female empowerment. I know that I feel that as long as you are faithful to what you believe, and that what you believe does not harm another creature, then you are a beautiful person. I think this forum i a great way toshare feelings and thoughts and I want you all to know that I love each and every one of you, for we are all her children.

@MsOpinion90 I agree 100%! A lot of the Witches that I know are "recovering Christians" (a friend's term, not mine) If we didn't dabble a little and get in touch, many of us would not be here. My better half is Christian to the core but has several practices that are purely Wiccan. If Christians can interact with the elements and nature, it just may be the start of coexistance.

I am a Roman Catholic, born and raised. I think your religion is the most beautiful religion I have ever come across. Chants like this one, and the sprits of fire chant are amazing to me. I have started to comtemplate being a wiccan, and leaving my Catholic roots. Ive done some research, and I agree and feel more at home with Wiccan beliefs than I do with Catholic beliefs.

I downloaded this on to my iPod, and I woke up to it this morning, it made me feel so at peace with the world! i think it is closed-minded that some ppl think wicca is for woman only... wicca is the only religion with a female goddess and a male god and that is the reason that the islam and christian church doesn't like paganism cus they believe the church/mosque, that say's the is no female goddess, the church started to undermine woman and they placed the woman in a lower class while w need the woman to create life...

I'm a male and I was attracted to Wicca simply because of the Goddess aspect. I just like the idea of there being a Goddess sort of like a mother and it puts me more at ease then worshiping a God, probably because my father was never really present in my life so I've more an attachment to my mother and grandmother.

Wicca is NOT a "womens' religion." It's an everybody religion. Wicca was founded by a man, and there is both a God AND a Goddess....not just one or the other. There are a lot of women in Wicca, because they're seen as equals (unlike many Christian denominations) but it definitely doesn't mean they're more important.

I am a girl in training of Wicca, and my mother and father have told me due to my many de ja vu's that it is one of my gifts. Each time I sing this song, it makes me feel as though I am connected to the Goddess and God. (Excuse the name, I couldn't think of anything...)

The gods are not there to demand your obedience and punish you if you stray from their vague rules. They are there only to guide you if you call on them to do so.

I love that we are able to converse and comment about this song. However, I also believe that we need to respect one anothers beliefs about male and female empowerment. I know that I feel that as long as you are faithful to what you believe, and that what you believe does not harm another creature, then you are a beautiful person. @MsOpinion90 I agree 100%! A lot of the Witches that I know are "recovering Christians" (a friend's term, not mine) If we didn't dabble a little and get in touch, many of us would not be here. My better half is Christian to the core but has several practices that are purely Wiccan. If Christians can interact with the elements and nature, it just may be the start of coexistance.

I am a Roman Catholic, born and raised. I think your religion is the most beautiful religion I have ever come across. Chants like this one, and the sprits of fire chant are amazing to me. I have started to comtemplate being a wiccan, and leaving my Catholic roots. Ive done some research, and I agree and feel more at home with Wiccan beliefs than I do with Catholic beliefs.

@natewikman Thank you for your support. I had a dream last night with a Goddess in it, and I believe its a sign that this is the path that I am supposed to take. I downloaded this on to my iPod, and I woke up to it this morning, it made me feel so at peace with the world! I am sure this is the right path for me, and I cant wait to begin my walk with the Goddess. It makes me feel so happy to know that welcoming people like you are the people I am going to be joining.
