OK, my idea of an H4 and H5 story would be like this: (it's rough)

MC finds some new enemy/old enemy (possibly stray covenant or sentinels) and has to figure out wtf is going on. He ends up making contact with the Elites who eventually find a way to get him back to earth. So they take him back and whatever the major threat was it has wiped out all/most of the humans. MC is devastated and out of it when he's all like "It's time to finish this fight.... AGAIN!"

and then Halo 6 comes out!
