@k98killer Very true... I about hesitated to get it, but seeing that it came from a renowned bullion investment shop, I'd say that its purity is guaranteed.
I have just started investing too, after 5 weeks I have 36.7 troy Oz's and I am now taking a hard look at my spending to see where I can trim down in order to invest more.
@rllang01 Thank you. I'm already up to 102 troy ounces, and by the end of this year I'm expecting to have about 150 troy. I did have 132, but I spent 30 and got myself a new guitar, stand, strings, bag and strap. Now, I'm looking at spending just $250 a month, if I can even afford that much to get myself to 150 by the end of this year. I'll have to wait it out and see what happens.
In the last two days, I have obtained 44 ounces of silver, and the total I've (not spent) invested is around $850, give or take the over-spot charge. I'm going to keep getting silver, but not quite that much each month from here on out. I'll actually be saving up for a 25-oz bar over then next couple months. :-D
yeah, thats what I meant. If silver does what gold did, lol.
I should invest in a silver and gold bar for a present for my GF, how my love for her will only grow. ahahahah YES! . . . . and then gold and silver become less in demand and my gift blows, lol.
Well, some are antique metals, like the coins (not the silver eagles). But I'm not sure of the age of the bars. They could be brand-new or from the 90s. :-/ I wouldn't know how to tell, lol.
It's a good start. I've read around and have come to understand that the Morgan and Peace pieces are the best to invest into.
I'm going to increase my collection today. I ordered another 27 ounces at the local silversmith (if you can locate one, they can help you order some via shipments). Otherwise, find a coin gallery or a precious metals dealer in your area to get more coins, etc. I'm personally interested in bars. The 10-oz bars are nice to get.
Nice man! As I really know nothing about silver collecting, I don't have much to say about it other than it looks cool :p
I've got a really old Dime collection folder that's almost full from my dad, it just needs a few from over the past 30 years I think, before that, it goes as far as around 1890 or so and it's basically full :p
I love the music buddy, good to see you back after a long while!
That is awesome! I just picked up three more Mercury dimes from an antiques shop :-D I also have two more 10-oz bars and seven 1-oz bars on the way as well!! I'm going to invest wisely, actually.
I wouldn't trust anything that says "Wall Street" on it...

wow, damn, I hope our country goes through a huge silver need like gold was for a while then. xD

Eh, well if demand goes up and supply diminishes, prices will go up... Look what happened with the skyrocketing gold prices...

I found them in my change, but I bought three more for around $2.50 each at an antiques store. Pawn shops may also have them.
I'm 25.
