While this is tragic, the girl has other options. She should ask to be cremated, that's what I'm going to do. Have her parents spread the ashes in a place of significance, where her stardust can rejoin the universe faster (I'm not a full hippy, I promise). I feel like that kind ending is MUCH more ceremonial than a box being thrown into the ground to rot for the next couple centuries. But that's just my opinion/plan.

Greedy funeral homes want to keep their profits up so they have raised the cost of cremation big time. 17 yrs ago my friend got cremated for 6 hundred dollars. Last year a friend of mine got cremated and cost over 3 thousand dollars. Not including the urn.

Sweetheart my sister lost her job and lost her insurance and dignity. She had cancer and chose not treatment. We planned her funeral together. The worst thing I ever had to do. It will be 21 years on Jan. 2nd and I still cry. We as a family pulled our money together to pay the costs. There are good people in this world and I know these cold hearted morons will get theirs in the end. There are thousands of these stories and I hope the insurance industry burns in hell!

If a person in the US can't afford money for a funeral service, the government steps in and pays for the burial. My best friend's mother died and the government paid to have her body transported to her home state and burial. It cost nearly $10,000USD. SSA pays $255.00USD to the surviving/next of kin. Don't get me wrong, I feel for people who lost and will lose their loved one(s). I just hate how some people take advantage of something so tragic in the name of GREED!

So in the great USA it's money that counts and high costs of medical is always NOT PAID due to policy of INSURANCE CIE. The parents paid all this for the child and your government of any official.
