I think it is great that you work in a special needs clasroom and I have to admit that as a parent of a child with autism I agree with your observation that there is no one way that only works with out children. An eclectic approach is always the best way to go. I have to agree that at some level the people who create or have PhD's in any of these interventions see their way as being the only way. Keep up the good work

  • Working in a special needs classroom for years has lead me to the wonderful truth that nobody knows exactly what they're doing whatsoever. Being a teacher, and having conflicting opinions by profesionals whom all believe they're way is the correct way, hinders children from making any progress in any aspect. We all need to be reminded that there is no one real way to deal with the developmentally dissabled, before we can help these children.
