Sure, it's a "tribute" when another band steals your riff-- but it stops being a "tribute" when their theft of your riff takes money out of your pocket. Yeah, I'd be "honored" if somebody stole my riff and made a sh!tload of dough off it, while I'm stuck hustling record companies to put out my music and scraping money together to pay for a North American tour. "Honored" is not what I''d feel-- but I'm sure my arse would be sore.

@djb1969 I would call it musical interpretation. if it is so serious then how come we haven't seen loads of court cases since the early to mid 90's? yes, they made money from it, yes killing joke were going to file for copyright breach which they dropped (due to Kurt's death), yes it sounds near enough identical, but the fact still remains that Nirvana made it into a completely different song, different feel, style and meaning.
