Đòn chân tấn công của Vovinam - Việt Võ Đạo thực chất là đòn kết liễu, nếu không được luyện tập tư thế ngã, khi bị đòn này ngã xuống gãy cổ, chấn thương đầu --> tử vong là cái chắc. Vì vậy khi thi đấu đối kháng các bạn ít thấy ra đòn kẹp cổ là vậy đó... Tôi cũng nghĩ như bạn. Tôi có quen 1 vài người võ giỏi, thậm chí đã mở lớp dạy võ Việt nam ở SG. Không bao giờ họ dạy cho võ sinh cái môn nhảy lên cổ đối phương để "gắp" cả.

Trong các Video thi đấu có thấy ai dám gắp nhau đâu (?).

acutally halfpund92, this is performance and they do those kinds of things but it teaches you to defend from knife at a pretty low level and basic counters from punches and kicks and when u get higher it teaches how to get out of a situation where a person is holding a gun to u =)

ok well its not all useless for street fighting im sure enough theres usefull stuff in here but what i ment by useless were the flying jumps etc

very nice to do shows etc but useless for street fighting etc when are u gonna jump in the air and do flying kicks? or other things like that, like get realistick u know? if ure doing it for fun then fine but if ure looking for real self defense then u should take judo, ju jitsu kyu kushin and other good defense martial arts( you need to mix them to be very good)
