  • 2:42 Ya know..it's your honest way of being YOU that is so great to watch.. I was trying to help you by saying the word "arms"..! LOL

  • Finger of the foot, we have the same thing in Spanish. And I noticed that fam is mouth just like "faim" is hunger in French. Isn't that cool??!

  • @salemwolves fain is I think hambre es espanyol

spanish has been influenced by arabic a lot specialy in the gramair organization that why spanish isn't thta complicated !

yo aprendo espanyol me encanta este idioma

  • @riadtel22 Well is more close to the french word "faim" which is hungry! but it is pronounced almost identically! Glad you're interested in Spanish is my native language!

Would the word for breast double as chest? As in a man's chest.

  • thanks for your videos .. you are talented and you did good work شكرا على هذه الفيديوهات .. أنت موهوبة و تقومي بعمل رائع

  • Hi Maha - thanks for the videos! Just a quick comment:

I may be wrong, but from the context of your video, I think you meant to say 'chest', not 'breast'. In my (limited) experience of Arabic, 'chest' is normally translated as "sadr" in Arabic. Whereas 'breast', might be "biz" (in colloquial) or "thudi" in MSA.

I would love to hear back from you about your insight into the word.

    Thanks again!

  • hehehe Bellybatn

  • what about lips :)

  • @beensolongg

for the lips you say (shefah)

when you say my lips it's(shefahy) or (shafaty)

  • @sayo0n95luv Shefahy :)

  • thanks

  • i like your sha'r , jabeen,haajib, anf ,FAM, asnan, thaqn,raqaba,katif sadr batn,Rijl and other Rijl ,qadam x2, isba x 20 ,YAD

in other words i like all about you including your voice your video and your lessons

    thanks

  • Good lesson and funny.

Although at first you say Arm is Thiraa and shoulder is Katif.

Then at the end you say shoulder is Thiraa :D

I think you probably got it right at first saying Arm is Thiraa and shoulder Katif.

I can remember most of them now :)

  • what country is she from? and how many languages does she no?

  • wow you are so beatifull!!! and teach good too!! can i know you more ?

  • Where are you from Maha?

  • @Fjurdavik Maha is a Palestinian, original from Israel i think.

  • @Airsoftattack123 lool no its the opposite she is a Israeli citizen but she is originally from Palestine.

  • nice

  • oh! most of the words are very similar to the same words in hebrew. in hebrew: hair: se'ar nose: af tooth: shen beard: zakan shoulder: katef belly: beten finger: etzba hand: yad head: rosh and you forgot the word for eye which i think it's the same in hebrew and arabic: ain great video!!

  • i love

  • Really easy to learn as you being the teacher! Thank you!

  • 0:6 to 0:7, insane beatbox

  • what type of arabic is this. the word for nose i already knew in arabic to be "heshum". if i learn your arabic will i be understud by all

  • @nardysays

    hey ...

i think Maha is using the standard Arabic... which is understandable among most of the Arabic speakers.

"heshum" is used in many arab counters such as : "Saudi Arabia , Qatar , Kuwait .... ",

it does mean "Mouth" in Sudan though.

  • from belly to legs? what about whats in between xD

  • @fahed79 ewwwwwwwww

  • @fahed79 عز الله انك ماسخ

تعرف انه في ناس عندهم اطفال في الغربة ويبون يعلمونهم عربي

  • THANK YOU! IT HELPS A LOT!++

  • shoulder isn't thira' its katif

  • Hi Maha,

your tutorials are very helpful....i had a question you mentioned breast is sadr in arabic.

if i want to say "chest" should i say "Sadr" or is there another word for it in arabic.

    thank you

  • @razzle82 "Sader" usually refers to "Chest", but it used to refer to "Beast" because we are too polite to refer to the specific thing :P "Thadi" is the original word for "Breast"

  • Maha congratulations you have a particular and funny but very very good form to teach tanks. i love yours classes

  • you forgot teez=butt....lol i know a little =)

  • you forgot fakhith=thighs

  • What about duck

  • where are you from maha? if you don't mind me asking.

  • ohhhhhhh you make it so easyyyyy :D i like it much i always try to learn arabic but it was sooo sooo difficult :D with u is truelly easy , i understand u very clear :D

  • thank you Maha! i really enjoy all your lessons, it's simple, clear and fun! shukran

  • i absolutely love how you accentuate all of the sounds of the arabic word when you speak.. i had to go by COUNTLESS teachers because they would say the word how they would speak to a regular arabian person >.< how am i suppose to learn if you pronounce it so quick! lol Thanks again Maha! [:

  • This is standard arabic or Lebanese?

  • @fatfortyyearold no this is the standard arabic or "Fusha", as every country may have more than one accent depending on the region. but every body understand the Fusha and other countries accents :)

  • @fatfortyyearold it's formal arabic. We don't talk like that in normal day to day life lol

  • Thiraa is arm not shoulder. katif is shoulder.

  • Qadam reminded me of "Raiders of the Lost Arc" (the first Indiana Jones movie). Quote in Italian: "L'asta di Ra e' alta sei qadam...ma togliete un qadam per onorare il dio degli ebrei a cui appartiene l'arca".

  • Leg = Saq in Arabic not Rijl, Rijl = foot ;)

  • nice lesson + cute girle

    ^.* keep up

  • why any1 on earth want to learn arabic !!

  • @deathschuck

There are Muslims can't speak Arabic and they should learn it

i'm wondering about how to say europeen names. could you du a lesson :D on the most normal so we have an idea about it

  • the finger of the foot - cute :P

  • Another good lesson. The transliterations really help to "hear" the nuances of the pronounciation. Thanks.

  • Looking forward to lesson 5 , ive just bought a middle east phrasebook its got standard arabic ,egyptian, gulf, levantine, tunisian, farsi, hebrew ,and turkish . but concentrating on standard ,and egyptian shukran.

    thanks and see you

  • And the words for knee, hips, butt and back, for example?

  • Hey you've made a mistake, at 3:41 ..

Shoulder is not " Thiraa' " Shoulder is Katif!

=D! You could also mention Eyelashes as in "Rimsh-Romoosh" also , Lips as in " Shiffah "

    Tongue as in "Lissan"

    Thanks Mahaa!

Hey where are you from , I'm wondering LOL.
